Pemedal Beach Resort

Excellent pool overlooking the ocean. Relaxing vibe as the resort is only small. Staff is really accommodating & friendly. Great little villa hut rooms with comfortable beds. Easy walk to street. And lots of little restaurants, bars & cafes up the beach to choose from. We stayed for 2 nights & kept extending our stay as the resort is very quiet & according. Photos don't show how great this little resort is, we will definitely stay here again.

Our bathroom needs an update. But with that said we could have upgraded our room to a refurbished bathroom.

Location is amazing right in the water, staff were awesome especially Mr G, he couldn’t do enough for us. The Chicken Gyozas were amazzzinnnng good is great here.

Staff were not attentive to overfilling bins, or used plates from the night before still sitting in the room days later.

Hotel was right by the beach so you can catch good seaview from the balcony or from the restaurant/cafe. The room was a good size with a dressing table, wardrobe, coffee table, cable TV (access to Prime Video, Netflix, Youtube, etc) and side tables at the bed. Staff were very helpful and friendly. They answered cleaning and towel requests very promptly. You receive bottled water placed on the table at the balcony every morning. The hotel was conveniently located within the vicinity of restaurants, spa, convenience and laundry shops. Their service was really superb. When the shower tap in our bathroom was faulty, they came to repair it within hours after I reported it and changed a new set for me. It was really great! The air-conditioning worked well and kept the room cool enough on hot days, helped by the fact that the accommodation were all wooden structures that cool the room well compared to concrete slabs.

The WIFI connection at this resort is not that strong and stable occasionally. This was my ONLY issue. But it still allowed me to watch cable TV most of the nights after we retired to our room so it was still acceptable. Other than this, there was really nothing to complain about and my stay was a really pleasant one.

Nice location right by the beach although the beach was riddled with pebbles, not comfortable to walk compared to other beaches located at Dream Beach or Mushroom Bay. Room was clean and they answer to cleaning and other service requests very promptly. The room is spacious with dressing table, wardrobe, mini fridge, safe, coffee area, side table and the bathroom was also spacious with good space to keep your toiletries, etc. I'd be back at the same resort for my next visit.

Occasional unstable WIFI and lightings that were a little dark. Insufficient power point as there was only power points at the coffee table in front of the bed. So you can't really charge your phone by the bed and if you worked on a laptop from the dressing table, you have to re-charge your laptop regularly at the coffee table when your power is down. Other than this, the resort is a nice place with great service from employees, good maintenance, and clean room.

We actually checked in & then a few hours later checked out due to construction happening around the pool deck. But not for that, we felt it would have been a great stay. Very good feel about it, private resort with beautiful rooms, nice pool & restaurant area. Staff were lovely & very understanding & helpful when we decided to move accommodation.

We had a ground floor bungalow that was really spacious, with high ceiling, so it worked well for us as we had space to put an extra bed for our 3 year old. The bathroom was also spacious. Most of the staff were very sweet. The location was great to walk along the beach to get to other restaurants and things, or a nice quiet wide street out to the main road (this is a point as most of the other streets elsewhere were tiny and filled with muddy puddles!). We had dinner at the restaurant one time, which was good, though communication between staff and restaurant needs work.

The pool was tiny compared to how many guests and rooms they have here. It looks as though they’ve added more bungalows and a second story ontop of the original buildings, but haven’t updated the communal facilities to match. The restaurant overlooked it, and three tables are set up right where the pool steps are, so people would get upset at getting splashed from people in the pool (just getting in and out of the pool, not diving or anything). I saw a number of other reviews talk about the staff letting groups of people take over the music and it being unbearable for other guest, but thought it must have been a one off occasion. How wrong I was. During our 6 night stay, 3 of those days a group was given control of the music and proceeded to play only their local music a full blast. No issues with the kind of music, but so loud you couldn’t even hold a conversation in the sun loungers on the other side of the area. As this group was drinking heavily from 11am there would be chanting at the top of their lungs to add to this, and aggressive behavior by 2pm. I don’t know if the staff were too intimidated, or what the deal was since it clearly isn’t the first time, but it should be clear that every single other guest outside that group found this horrible, and would give a tonne complaints. Breakfast was mediocre at best. One of our party had dietary requirements and on the first day had checked which dishes would be suitable without adjustments, and found 3 options. Yet every single day after the first morning it was made with dairy in it, and not once did they make them a replacement despite being reminded of the issue every time we ordered. The drains in the bathroom never drained properly, so the whole bathroom would end up soaked.

After staying in three other location on Bali before here this was a huge disappointment and I don’t really understand the very positive reviews. We were given a room on the second floor (that didn’t look as nice as the cabins in the garden) that smelled of sewerage and they only were able to move on a to a non-smelly room after two nights but that had a blocked drain in the bathroom. I booked a room for two adults (even though the second person was my 2-year old son). I had to pay an additional fee for his cot and at breakfast was told I had to pay an additional fee for his breakfast because kids under 5 don’t get free breakfast (even though I booked for two adults). Breakfast portions were extremely small (even too small for my son), staff did not really pay attention with giving menus and taking orders. Staff didn’t seem happy to work there either and didn’t have attentiveness and smiles that you see everywhere else. On busier days there were not enough sun beds or tables at breakfast. This place has so much potential but needs staff and attention to deliver.

Excellent experience. Extremely friendly staff and great location — tucked out of the noisy street but still had easy access to lots of restaurants nearby. Beautiful and expansive beach area (with cute dogs!) right in front of the infinity pool. The room was clean and spacious, but the deluxe room bathroom was a lot nicer than the non-deluxe one. They gave us 4 bottles of water each morning, which was very convenient. The boxed toiletries were a nice touch and saved us a few times. The in-room AC and refrigerator were quiet.

What would improve our experience: more hooks in the bathrooms and better-maintained motorbikes. The food was okay (3/5 stars) — maybe alternating the fruit selection in the morning would help (bananas, coconut, dragon fruit, mango). The location was difficult to find at first because the address on Google maps and Booking.com is incorrect! Other than that, we had a great time.

Second stay at Pemedal. Its now our firm favourite. We had one of the brand new rooms which was lovely. Food pretty good, nice staff. Lovely just lounging about admiring the view. Awesome pool.

One member of staff was quite surly in the restaurant which is unusual for Bali. The load music on the day we arrived was awful, seemed really out of place, more suited to a sports bar. We decided to eat elsewhere that evening

great location!! right on the beach, the pool and restaurant overlooking the ocean with great views of the sunset and the mountain. easy to walk to many restaurants and shops. room and bathroom were both big and comfortable. fell asleep every night to the sounds of the waves on the shore. breakfast was included and food was tasty and had an extensive list of both western and indonesian options (4-5 of the indonesian options could be made vegan but not many of the western) bar was also good and loved having a poolside cocktail!! it was also opt into room cleaning via hanging a sign on the door as opposed to cleaning every day which i greatly prefer

serving sizes at breakfast could have been bigger. also did not provide conditioner in the bathroom?

Breakfast was a delight, with a menu providing several options, served individually at our table. We enjoyed several meals at the resort, realizing that we couldn’t find a more exotic beachside venue nor more delicious food. A surprise was the artistic presentation of the dinners! We also enjoyed the live entertainment at the poolside. We found all staff members to be friendly and helpful, and we appreciated the resort’s help on booking transportation to and from, as well as scooter rental and snorkeling - the best we have done anywhere!

The perfect beachfront accommodation with a traditional feel. the staff were lovely, the breakfast included was varied and delicious. they have live music near the pool and restaurant some nights and each afternoon offer a complementary drink or snack by the pool. There was a number of cute dogs that were hanging around, they were not bother and very healthy. we loved it here and would go back.

Nothing really, it was a great spot. we arrived around 12pm and our room was ready but they didn't let us check in till 2pm as they said there was something leaking from the roof, when we checked in it was just on the veranda so we would of actually gotten into the room sooner which would of been lovely.

Pemedal is always my go to when staying at Nusa Lembongan. Located at the far end of Jungutbatu Beach it boasts an incredible outlook over the ocean. It has a slightly more secluded feel than other accommodation along the beachfront because of its position along the coastline. The completion of recent renovations only enhances the tranquility and natural beauty of the resort. The staff at Pemedal are just the best with a special shout out to long time chef Eddie. His meals are divine. While I sometimes feel inclined to try different accommodation I am always drawn back to Pemedal. Highly recommend this accommodation.

We couldn’t keep the mozzies out of the room due to the open louvre window in the bathroom - so many mozzies in the room which would bite us in our sleep, even keeping the bathroom door shut - but the bathroom door had huge circle shaped holes in it!? Which was weird especially for my teen son sharing with his grandmother

This is a wonderful hotel right on the beach. Rooms are spacious and clean, with great bathrooms. Staff is super friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to bring food from outside restaurants (see my comment on food below). The set up with bin-bags and stretchers right on the beach is the best. The views are amazing, with the Bali mainland on sight, impressive volcano views all day, and great sunset. We saw some of the healthiest hard coral we have seen, dived with mantas and enjoyed the surf as well, and the massage right next door to the hotel is very good.

The constant loud music playing in the restaurant area on a club-style speaker is completely unnecessary! This place has the best soundtrack there could be, the sound of waves! If you want to play music, at least play it on less volume. We avoided the restaurant a few times due to the music, including the live music night, music was ok, but it was so loud we couldn't even have a conversation. The restaurant food is ok, not amazing, you will get tired of it pretty quickly (but as I said above you can bring food from outside, which is great!). Wifi is pretty weak, but that is a first world problem... Also, the place needs a drinking water station, or a few. We had to use SO MANY PLASTIC BOTTLES, every day, all of us, and then you walk around the island and see trash everywhere, it makes you feel bad to visit this place because you are generating so much garbage that is just being dumped everywhere.... Finally, I read a lot about how peaceful Nusa Lembongan is... and it is if you stay at the hotel. The main street is sooo stressful, scooters constantly zooming by, small truck-taxi taking each other over.... I saw a woman being hit by a scooter mirror because the street is so narrow, there is no space for pedestrians, scooters, taxis, it is definitely not so safe to walk on that main road.... If you want to relax stay at the hotel!
