We loved it all the location the room/courtyard
The only thing was the stairs as we had 2 carry 2 big suitcases up them but as the building was over 300 years old so not much you can do about that

The staff is wonderful. They greeted us and treated us well. Provided direct contact information if we needed anything and made sure we had what we needed. The courtyard area is beautiful and I am glad people cannot just come and go as they please. We had a room with a balcony. It was wonderful to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the atmosphere of the French Quarter. We were close to everything. The room was spacious and while some may not like firm beds, our beds were lovely. You genuinely feel you are in an 1800s room.
Not suitable for older people as the facility does not have an elevator. That did not really bother us. Parking stinks. I would say that is the biggest drawback.

The staff here is amazing! So friendly and helpful. We had everything we needed and more. It was our first time to New Orleans and we were able to do everything we wanted to. The locked gate made us feel safe, and the private courtyard was a huge bonus. We loved the bathroom and the room had air and a ceiling fan that kept us comfortable. This place is really cool and the people are fantastic. đ
The bed was a little firmer than we're used to, but still can't complain. We stayed a whole week and we slept great and feel fine.

If you're looking to stay in a place with a relaxed haunted vibe right in the French Quarter, this might be for you. The microwave, fridge and coffeemaker in the room were handy too. Otherwise I found this a very underwhelming stay, not worth the price. The rooms were old, the floor was slanted and it all felt rather fragile. You could hear other guests coming and going in the evening. The main AC unit was in the courtyard not far from my room and it is so loud, turning on every 10-15 minutes and then whirring, I had to wear earphones or earplugs - didn't make for a quiet night in. There were air fresheners with a weirdly sweet smell throughout the corridors which was bothersome. There are not enough lights nor plugs in the room, especially if you have an adaptor. There was no one at my arrival to greet me and I couldn't communicate easily with the host pre arrival. There is no housekeeping. Although the coffeemaker and the complimentary coffee were nice. I think this is closer to a two star place, not three starts.
