The perfect winter retreat in a beautiful, comfortable, spacious and well equipped apartment close to the centre of St A

The apartment was warm, well equipped, comfortable and a sensible layout with ample space for 3 guests. It was in a quiet area a short walk from the centre of town. The lounge and master bedroom had patio doors with open views over a bowling green and a compact tidy landscaped garden. It was November so we didn’t use the garden chairs and table but these would be useful in the warmer months.

My mother has limited mobility and relied on the use of the exterior lift, instead of the stairs, to gain access to the main building front door entrance. Perhaps it was the cold weather but, on a couple of occasions, the doors at car park level were jammed and would not open. So, this is something for maintenance to be aware of. It seemed like freezing conditions affected the door hinges as they were stuck rigid. Luckily, there were enough people in our group to help bring my mother safely down and up the stairs when this happened.

This is our second stay here, we love it, very relaxing and the host thinks of everything you need.

The location is perfect, a quiet street near a small canal (with ducks!) and a 10 minute stroll to the town centre. The apartment also has a lovely private garden.

Very comfortable Apartment

Very comfortable apartment, well equipped and on ground floor. Also very quiet area, though not far from centre.

We had asked for the bed to be split into two singles, this had been done but one bed still had the double/kingsize bedding on it which made it not so comfortable, also no mattress or pillow protectors.

Look elsewhere if you want Luxury and you don't want to pay for extra's on top of your stay.

Good location very close to the town, easy parking and clean spacious facilities

For the price you pay there is certainly no luxury. Would you like to check in 1hr early that will be an extra £25, if you would like a cot that £10 for your stay. They even charge you extra to add hypoallergenic bedding????? The complementary tea and coffee is poorer than that you find in most budget hotels (UHT long life milk blisters etc). Despite the £70 cleaning fee they also want you to strip all the beds which on vacating the premises which if you are disadvantaged is unbelievable. Whenever we stay places we stay mid range to high end and frankly I was I felt cheated by my stay with items that should be complementary as part of the price (we payed almost £300 a night). Furniture and Fittings are all IKEA...which in itself is fine...but don't label something as Luxury when it is far from it for the reasons I've highlighted

Nice apartment but need to look at the beds and pillows, which we poor quality

Apartment was well equipped and spacious. Very clean apart from the patio doors which were really dirty.

We had a nightmare getting the keys as the labels which told you which key safe to open were all faded. One was actually open with the keys inside but it wasn't the one we were staying in! It took ages to get the keys-not a good start. We tried to get injto the bin store but couldn't even after we had rung for the number. We paid over £800 for 3 nights and though it a bit much we had to strip our beds.

The location of this property is excellent, everything within walking distance thoroughly enjoyed staying here and we'll be back again in June!

The beds weren't the comfiest unfortunately, a little softer would be better but difficult to get something that suits everybody. My friend will take her own pillows on our next visit.

Perfect apartment!

The apartment is very well kitted out, comfortable and in the perfect location for exploring St. Andrews and the surrounding area. This was a return visit because we found it to be so good the first time round. I’m happy to say we were not disappointed!

There was a light flickering in the bathroom which needed changing but this was a very small detail that is easily fixed!

The en-suite shower screen and timber skirting looks untidy and stained. needs some routine maintenance urgently as it can only get worse. We arrived early as planned to park up and head for lunch. We checked that the keys were in the key box only to be asked which apartment we were going to by a lady who had just checked the property was cleaned and ready for occupation. she gave us the keys as the apartment had been cleaned and was ready. This was a great result. HOWEVER we were then challenged by email about arriving early and suggestions that early check in is available at extra cost!! The email read as an aggressive challenge and was not warranted or received well!

Location, garden, excellent facilities and overall cleanliness of the apartment. Loved it and i would recommend, just need a softer bed.

Beds were really hard, affected the whole groups sleep. Blinds really didn't stop the light so very bright bedrooms when sun came up. The back bedroom nearest front door was very noisy when residents entering and leaving the building, sometimes late at night

A very lovely home from home

Beautifully furnished, absolutely spotless. Great wee touches with cleaning products available, lovely clean bedding, towels etc. Tea and coffee available, and fully equipped kitchen. Garden area is a great bonus to have, especially in good weather. Really close to main thoroughfare in a very quiet area.

the only problem we encountered, due to high winds, and no curtains in the main bedroom, there was a very strong, cold draft coming through the top of the French doors, making the bedroom cold through the night.

I am presuming the honesty box for the whisky was aimed at an American market. The whisky isn’t a particularly special one and £3 a nip is not value for money. The soundproofing in the flat isn’t great.
