Violet Bank Apartment West End.

Great place when getting from the airport. A few minutes walk from the tram line from the airport. The host was waiting for me with the keys even a bit earlier then expected which was great. The place is all you need for a few days in Edinbourgh. Nice kitchen to make breakfast and heat some things. Coffee machine (tabs) as well as a press coffee thingy. Very quiet - the entrance is from the street level but only a few cars come by and even if there is something the bedroom is from the courtyard side so you do not hear anything. We had some coffee to start they day so that was a good thing. Some other things in the fridge which was nice.

Could not open the windows to get some air maybe I was not wise enough. Getting the water temperature in the shower took some tweaking but once set I did not touch it :) It is a 15-20 min walk to the castle and 30m to Holyrood Palace but I new that so not a huge issue.

The owner met me at the property and provided me with an orientation of the apartment. The apartment has everything you need - a full kitchen, with a generous supply of staples, washing machine, smart TV, comfortable lounge, really comfortable bed, and quality linen (bedding and towels). It is also in a great location, with easy access to the all the great sites in Edinburgh, as well as public transport (including bus and train to and from the airport). It was quiet, cozy, and I will definitely stay here again when I am next in Edinburgh. The owner also allowed me a late checkout. I thoroughly recommend.

We booked just a couple of weeks before our visit however the apartment was well proced compared to other options available and nonwithstanding the peak Christmas month. The owner came to meet us upon arrival and explained everything to us. The apartment had everything we needed, a fully functional kitchen with cookies, coffee and tea and everything looked new. The location was perfect, located in a side alley just a couple of minutes walk from Princes Street. Bed and bath/shower were very comfortable.

The apartment was excellent value for money. It was clean, modern, and very well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The location was convenient and quiet, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant.

Nothing significant – everything met our expectations.
