Bedroom 2: Single (3ft) Bed. Gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel included for wood burner available from October - April. Travel cot and highchair. Shared external laundry room with use of washing machine, tumble dryer and toilet. Patio with garden furniture and barbecue. Shared garden. Parking for 1 car. Garage with storage for bikes, kayas, mobility scooters etc. No smoking. . Ann and Ralph, the cottage owners were incredibly delightful and extremely helpful. The decorated the cottage for Christmas and helped me get groceries when I was in quarantine

Lovely location with good views from the property. Ralph and Anne were friendly and most welcoming whilst respecting our privacy during our weeks stay. They generously left us milk and chocolate biscuits and a bottle of wine in arrival which was much appreciated.
We were also advised of local places to visit and to eat which was very helpful.
The property is convenient to stroll into town or walk the adjoining coastal paths. Even a modern public swimming baths nearby (if only we could swim) lol.
So much to see we barely used our car all week except to drive to Marlwood gardens as we know the region well with all its lovely coasts and villages. We had never previously explored Ilfracombe though.

We had a really enjoyable week, improved by excellent weather. The cottage had all the facilities we would have expected and use of the beautiful garden was a bonus. Ann and Ralph were friendly, helpful, unobtrusive hosts. Ilfracombe was busy and lively but would be a challenge for the unfit or less able. No shortage of steep climbs!
