This white picket fenced, corner lot offers views of some of the Rocky Mountains' finest 14er peaks. This homes location offers rafting, fly fishing, biking, hiking, mountain climbing, skiing and hot springs minutes from your front door.
Enjoy books, You Tube TV, WiFI and movies or walk a few blocks to downtown shops, galleries and cafes. Bring your bikes if you feel like a leisure ride along the Arkansas River or a mountain bike if you want to tackle the nearby trails. The private back patio is a shady haven for coffee or a BBQ or enjoy the swing on the front porch with a glass of wine and watch the local deer at the park across the street. This convenient and comfortable cottage is the perfect destination for two couples or a family of four wanting to be part of the neighborhood in this friendly town. Well behaved Dogs are welcome. Such a charming house and awesome location. Close to everything downtown, completely practical for a stay...except for lack of ac in the bedrooms during a heatwave! We love Salida and this location. Understanding that most places in Salida don't need air conditioning often, this place has a package unit in the living room and in the owners bed room. It would have been an unquestioned 10/10 if the bedrooms had an ac unit. Hope to come back soon in cooler weather!

We had a wonderful spring break stay at the cottage. The house is charming and well equipped with everything you need. We were very pleased with the short walk to the grocery, the parks, the river, shopping, and restaurants, with a short 30-minute drive to ski Monarch.The pet-friendly accommodations were very important to us, and our dog appreciated the large yard.We enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the sun. We will definitely return in the fall for hiking.

We enjoyed the house and location very much and would rent this house again.
Only minor complaint is the need for a real dish strainer as we cooked ‘at home’ most nights.
