Our millstone house is very well located, quiet (in a residential area), surrounded by greenery (Parc de Sceaux and Park Chateaubriand). The house is located 5 minutes walk from all amenities: transport, shops ...
The 2nd floor of the house is reserved for you, you will feel "at home, far from home":
- 1 spacious and bright room, with 1 double bed, with open views of the Parc de Sceaux
- 1 spacious and luminous room, with 2 single beds (in 90 x 200), with a small lounge and an office area
- a shower room for guests
IMPORTANT: Ideal rental for 2 couples or a family of 4 people.
PRICE: we operate in number of rooms:
* Rate for 1 to 2 people, in 1 room only: 100 € (breakfast included)
* Rate for 2 to 4 people, divided into 2 rooms: 180 € (breakfast included)

We were simply blown away by our stay. The property is gorgeous but even more, Jean-Luc and Frédéric are just incredible hosts. They were so attentive, and clearly invested in us having the best stay possible in Paris, providing excellent recommendations based on our interests. And the little things, like how they tailored the amazing breakfasts based on our likes, just sets them head and shoulders above other experiences. We can't say enough good things about our stay. When I saw the listing with the pictures I had to book it for our Paris trip we were taking our mother in law on. It was very beautiful like in the pictures. Frederic and Jean Luc are wonderful and trustworthy and it felt safer than staying in a hotel. I didn’t realize our rooms were on the third floor with a steep spiral wooden staircase but I may have overlooked. Only an issue with an older guest with us we were already pushing to limits in the city with walking and steps. We also never had time to figure out the train system (our fault) and so spent hundreds of dollars and several hours on getting from there to Paris throughout the few days. Still, we enjoyed the home the little time we were there. They were gracious enough to make a nice breakfast each day (eggs as I was pregnant and wanting the protein) and wonderful teas. I would recommend a little mini fridge for the upstairs tea area so we could have our water chilled? And perhaps a full length mirror unless I missed one in the other bedroom.

We were welcomed by our hosts first with excellent communication prior to our arrival, then with literal open arms. The house is beautiful, in a wonderful neighborhood within easy walking distance to to B train that wisks you into Paris or onward to Charles de Gaulle airport. The rooms were everyone's dream of a French holiday, with windows opening out over the lovely garden. I cannot say enough about the generous breakfasts. Homemade crepes, fresh baguettes and fruit, yogurt, homemade jams, and eggs cooked to order and perfection, all in a dining room opening to the rear garden. If you are looking for the perfect place for your Paris vacation, with quick access to Versailles, where you are welcomed like royalty, this is the place for you!

Frédéric and Jean-Luc are absolutely delightful hosts! Their house is beautifully decorated, the view is stunning, and the fresh breakfast they prepare each morning is peaceful and incredibly delicious. They were such kind and helpful hosts- they even printed off suggestions of what to see for free in each area of Paris we planned to visit. Only about a 10 minute walk away there is a delightful boulangerie where you can pick up some tasty pastries, and the train station is right across from that. Our time in their villa was certainly a highlight of our Paris trip and we hope we can stay with them again.

This was a legitimate 5-star accommodation. The location was perfect with an 11-minute walk to the train which took you right to Paris. We used the train and metro almost daily with ease. Our hosts explained the system and showed us how to use it. We spent a week at the home utilizing both bedrooms on the top floor. Each had its own bathroom and sitting area. Plenty of room for my family of 4, all adults. The entire house was immaculate and our rooms were cleaned daily! Breakfast was provided daily which included all fresh food, delicious bread, fruit, pastries, eggs, etc. We rented a car for longer outings and were provided a parking space across the street, which was perfect. My husband and I had been to France a few years ago and although enjoyable, was nothing like this time, which can be attributed to the hosts. They made recommendations, printed out a list of sites to see in parts of Paris we intended to visit, and gave us travel books to help us navigate. But it was their warm, friendly, and inviting manner that made this trip so special. We sat and spoke, and learned about France and french living in a way you cant get from museums and books. We always felt comfortable in their home. We have stayed at many places and travel often and this was the best experience we have ever had. We cannot recommend them enough. We are very grateful for their kindness and hospitality.

Our family of 4 (2 kids - 6 and 4yo) used this charming space as our home-away-from-home to attend a local family wedding. We couldn’t ask for a better experience! In all my travels I have never encountered hosts who were as warm and welcoming as Frederic and Jean Luc. From the moment we rang their doorbell, we were embraced by their enthusiasm to address our every need, and make their lovely home our restful retreat outside of Paris. The four of us shared two rooms on the upper level of the home, each room with its own bathroom, shower, and sitting area. In the morning we were greeted by a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, yogurt, pastries, baguette, jam, butter coffee, juice and more. The location in a sweet neighborhood was convenient to the RER train into the city. There were also lovely attractions in the immediate area to explore. By the time we left, my husband, son, friend and I felt we were saying au revoir to excellent friends. I highly recommend this to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, comfortable and quiet space outside the city.

We had the most unforgettable stay at Jean-Luc and Frédéric's beautiful home in a nice and quiet Parisian neighborhood. They are the perfect hosts and we had the most delicious breakfasts every morning. Their attention to detail, warm hospitality and willingness to assist were better than any five star resort. We will miss our evening chats and the company of their beautiful cat Juno. When we return to Paris, we know where 'home' awaits.

We stayed with Jean-Luc and Frédéric when we first arrived in France two weeks ago. I wrote a review after we left, describing the wonderful time we had at their beautiful home. After visiting the Loire Valley, we circled back and spent one last night with them to make today's journey to the airport easier. Again, our stay was wonderful! Jean-Luc and Frédéric are simply the best hosts that we have ever had the pleasure of staying with. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable, fed us another amazing breakfast, gave great suggestions for gifts for friends...they really have a gift and a love for hospitality (and cooking!). It was a pleasure to stay at their home, and we hope to be able to return some day soon.

If you are even slightly considering staying at La Villa de la Terrasse, save yourself the waffling and the searching, and just book it. Jean-Luc and Frédéric are the most amazing hosts and generally wonderful people. They were so welcoming and friendly, and worked very hard to make our stay the best it could possibly be. The breakfasts they provided were better than restaurant quality, and included eggs from their very own chickens. They gave us really useful suggestions on what to see and how to get around during what was our first time in Paris. Their home is comfortable, clean, and beautifully finished and decorated. The second floor has lovely floors and arched windows - one of which has an expansive view that includes a nearby chateau. A peaceful garden surrounds the house. I can't imagine a better home away from home!

Frédérique and Jean_Luc truly love what they do! They enjoy meeting new people and being a part of creating positive and lasting memories. They are the perfect hosts offering assistance wherever needed and space to still feel private. Their attention to detail in anticipating guests needs and the care they have put into their beautiful home was heartwarming. They want you to have a good time😊. The house is equally meticulous with its old stone exterior and terraces spilling over with flowers to the great mixture of antiques and modern elements throughout the 3 story home. Beds and pillows were all very comfortable and dressed with equally delightful linens. We happened to be there during an unusually hot and humid week but were very comfortable with the cross breezes and fans that both bedrooms offered. The double arched doors to the terraces opened to the most magnificent view of the city below . Both sunrise and sunset will forever be a favorite memory of mine. And the Breakfast! Crepes and baguettes, homemade marmalade’s , hot chocolate made from chocolate 😊, organic juice made locally and so much more! They are wonderful cooks and wonderful hosts. The table setting was also a beautiful detail. Frédérique and Jean_Luc we’re thankfully good at English ( they may not agree but we think they were a godsend!) and were very helpful in guiding our navigation and offering suggestions on restaurants and activities. The train station is an 8 minute walk away through beautiful streets of more great houses. It is about a 20+ min ride to the city where you can do most everything from walking distances or short bus hops. Our last day we were exhausted but had time to kill before our pm flight. Frédérique and Jean _Luc offered to let us keep our luggage there While we took advantage of our extra time to do something. We were thrilled to discover that a 10 min walk up the road led to an aboritorium with amazing walking paths through gorgeous gardens . It was the perfect ending do our stay. The best part of all was the conversation and friendship we made with Frédérique and Jean _Luc. They truly love what they do! Thank you for the wonderful memories ❤️

This home and the incredible men who live in it are straight out of a dream and I could not be more grateful about it! This house built in 1903 and it’s original flooring are only made more beautiful with each gorgeous piece of furniture and life that bring a sense of warmth and peace into this home. Deriano helped us start every day off with an amazing spread of high quality food, coffee, fresh orange juice and a warm smile. I cannot find a single bad thing to say about this home. I am so grateful that my friends and I had the opportunity to rest here and I highly recommend you do the same!! Esta casa del año 1903 es uno de los hogares más bellos que he tenido el orgullo de conocer. No solo es una casa elegante y hermosa, pero los dueños (especialmente Deriano quien fue el que nos cocinó desayuno cada mañana) son tan buena gente con un don gigante para la decoración. This morning I woke up in my own home and came to the crashing realization that I wasn’t going to walk downstairs to the beautiful breakfast I had (surprisingly quickly) gotten used to. Or the welcoming smiles of Frédéric and Jean-Luc. That tonight I wouldn’t come home to instant friends who were eager to hear about our travels and help plan dinner in the beautiful little village this house is located in. That no, I did not live in France but got to pretend I did for 5 wonderful days because of these amazing caretakers. I cannot say enough good things about our time in Châtenay-Malabry and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet property with room for kids to run and play before a day trip into the city. To say that this was the best lodging experience I’ve ever had would be an understatement. Everything about my stay was perfect. Every morning Frédéric greeted us with a smile and the most delicious breakfast. We had fresh pastries from the local bakery and assorted homemade jams. Every morning was different! And the crepes... ah, the crepes! I know everyone has mentioned them but it’s only because they are absolutely delicious! The house is very clean and organized, but we always felt at home. Our room was clean and we had fresh linens throughout our stay. It is the type of service I would expect from a 5 star resort! Frédéric always offered to answer any questions we had and help us with whatever we needed. I really appreciated his welcoming demeanor and kind attitude. I never felt like I was bothering him with my questions. He even allowed us to drop our bags off before our check in time upon arrival because our flight landed so early! Our last night there, Frédéric and Lulu took us to see the Eiffel Tower at night! They offered to take us to see the lights and it was truely the most kind gesture! We’ve been staying through VRBO in Fredericks’ home at Châtenay-Malabry. We had the whole top floor and it was a fabulous experience. If ever you travel to the area of Paris, France and would like staying close to a train line, but out of the hustle and bustle of Paris, book with Frederick. Breakfast every morning, and kindness every second of your stay. He speaks far better English than I will ever speak French. I will definitely visit Villa De La Terrasse anytime I travel to the area of Paris.

The Villa de la Terrasse is a charming place to stay. Yes, you can easily take the train into Paris to enjoy all it has to offer. But you can also enjoy the peace and tranquility of the house, its garden, and the very nearby Parks (Sceaux, Valle aux Loups/Isle Verte/Maison de Chateaubriand). The Arboretum is World Class with a fabulous display of bonsai! You have the best of all worlds AND your host, Frederic, who serves a fantastic breakfast AND makes you ever so comfortable! We cannot say enough good things about this place!

Frederic is an unbelievably outstanding host. Frederic kept in touch with us way before our arrival, since we were coming from another part of France rather late. We were greeted so warmly after a long 7 hour drive. We didn't have a difficult time finding parking, and the best part was that we didn't have to pay for parking. It was so nice to arrive from a long trip to a charming, beautiful, and super clean home. We loved the sign that greeted us at the top of the staircase, it was quite welcoming. For breakfast, he made wonderful crepes served with other breakfast items beautifully presented, but most importantly, very delicious. When the weather was lovely we ate breakfast at the patio behind the house. It was such a joy to eat breakfast there listening to the birds chirping and having conversation with Frederic; was a fantastic start to a day chock filled with activities. The house is close to public transportation, restaurants, bakeries, and local markets. The house is about maybe, 10 minutes to the regional RER train, and is about 20 minutes ride to downtown Paris. We loved that the house is not that far from downtown Paris, and is also not that far from Versailles as well. The neighborhood is very safe and quiet which was exactly what we needed after a long day of sightseeing in Paris and Versailles; to go back to a house that is nearby and did not have to worry about our safety. My family truly enjoyed our stay at Frederic's beautiful, charming, and clean home. We all agreed that if we were to come back to Paris, we will definitely make reservations at Frederic's home. This was absolutely, without doubt, the best place we've stayed in the 4 1/2 weeks of traveling throughout Europe, more specifically the best host we've encountered throughout all of our years of travel.

The property is within easy walking distance of the train station which is itself 20 minutes from the centre of Paris. Frederic is very friendly, speaks excellent English and makes you feel very at home. He freshly cooks and prepares breakfast daily and does his best to please and the food is delightful.The rooms are exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned daily. Our car was able to be safely parked by the house for the duration of our stay whilst we used public transport. There are lovely views from the rooms and the area is quiet. We stayed with our two daughters aged 12 and 13 who appreciated the lollipops and sweets in the rooms and the crepes and cakes at breakfast. We could not have hoped to have found a better place for our 3 day stay in Paris.

This home is incredibly clean and comfortable. The location is in a nice quiet suburb that is close to the train station and lots of fun things to do. If you are looking for a place where you can mingle with very kind and welcoming locals, but also do the tourist thing.. this is the place for you. Frederic is as much a part of what makes this place special as the historic home. He is an excellent cook and was attentive to make our stay perfect. Although he seemed to feel that his work as an "inn keeper" was just part of the gig, you rarely find that level of service and attention to every detail anywhere. My family and I will definitely be returning to this place. Merci beaucoup!!
