Great cottage with excellent facilities. Lovely quiet location, will definitely stay again.

Beautiful property, gorgeous grounds and views. Super homely and cosy.
No instructions on how to check in, so tried the door handle and walked into the cottage. Electric had tripped, so I had to fumble about in the pitch black to find the fuse board. Couldn’t contact anybody as there is no WiFi or phone signal. Beware of the raised and loose stones when coming through the gates, they have pierced a hole in my exhaust pipe. No shampoo, conditioner or milk. Considering the price we paid, you’d expect the basics to be provided.

Very kind owners, if wanting to go to alton towers it’s not that far from the property. Teas, coffee and sugars provided and plenty of plates and cups.
The upstairs on-suite bathroom sink was slightly dirty, had to wipe it over and had some struggle flushing the toilet upstairs.

Really warm and cosy and had everything you could need. Everything had been thought of. Would stay there again.

I like the whole experience of staying in the cottage from arrival to departure. All you need to bring is yourself and some food as all you need in a house were already provided. The cottage was so ckean and no smell at all! Even the backyard is like a small park, tidy and well maintained grass. Love the place and would definitely recommend!

Great stay! Would definitely return. The cottage was so cosy and and homely and very well kept. The area is very peaceful. My boys loved having their own private garden to run about. Thank you for a pleasant stay.
Kids would say WIFI but I enjoyed watching them play. It was bitter sweet :)

Clean, comfortable, great accommodation

It was spacious and quiet, the area was stunning and close to Alton towers where we were going for the weekend. It was beautifully decorated and gave a home from home feel. It had a large garden for private use. The owner allowed us to have a late check out.
The road to get in and out was tight, where you cannot fit 2 cars down.
No internet, but that was also a plus as it was nice to see the kids playing Games and laughing, and interacting with one another.

Amazing! Book this place if you’re visiting Alton Towers or if you want an idyllic cottage with sheep at the bottom of your garden. Really cosy with great water pressure, comfy beds and a fully stocked kitchen.

Lovely holiday cottage, well equipped with massive garden
Minor niggle - WiFi was poor. Didn’t matter for one night though and there was 4G in garden and upstairs

Beautiful country side setting. Comfortable homely feel.
The only thing I would say I didn’t like was the driveway, the moving slats made us all uncomfortable to be driving across.

Beautiful cottage in the heart of Staffordshire. Spotlessly clean and cosy with a lovely garden for sitting out with drinks.
The stay was spoilt by a night in possibly the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in, and I’ve slept in some awful places.

The garden was nice and big, with a lovely view. Rooms were were comfy and clean. Good place to stay for a night.
We tried to cook dinner and breakfast using the oven however found it did not reach above 140° meaning it took us 2 hours to cook pizzas in the evening and meant we had to get up early in the morning to cook our breakfast knowing how long it was going to take.
The cottages are connected meaning the noise levels between each property can be heard significantly and we were kept awake until 1:30am by the people staying next door. We even had to go and knock on their door and ask them to be quiet so we could get some sleep. Of course not a fault of the host, however just something to keep in mind in peak season when the properties are busy.

very spacious, good facilities (the kitchen is the best equipped I’ve seen in a holiday let) really lovely location
parking was a bit haphazard with no defined area per cottage, so I was a bit unsure where to park as someone was already parked by our entrance. I was worried I was going to be in the way where I parked. (totally understand you’re not going to mark out spaces on the amazing courtyard though!)

property was amazing can’t comment on staff as we didn’t see any however there was communication prior to our arrival
property was fully equipped more so than what we expected was incredibly clean and tidy we had a fabulous stay
beds were a little uncomfortable and next door had a child that didn’t stop banging even at 3 am but that’s not a reflection on the stay just annoying we were there the same time as that child (yes I do have children )

The property is idyllic - settled in amongst sprawling fields and farmland and the building is so pretty, giving a proper cottage feel. Our friends who haven't really been to the rural north were blown away and loved it in the morning when they could sit and watch a neighbouring shepherd with his flock! The property is warm and has ample room. There were 4 adults in our group and it was perfect. The bedrooms were clean and spacious, one with an en-suite which we didn't expect. An added touch which really helped us was they had a selection of take away menus and had noted on the menus which ones delivered to the property which was super helpful.
The signal to the property was not great and made ordering a food delivery a bit of a challenge. They had left a little note saying they no longer had Sky and we think this extended to any Wi-Fi as there was none we could access. On the one hand it was nice to be detached from technology but did present a problem when trying to order food and trying to check in with family back home.
We didn't really notice until night time that the walls were relatively thin and we could hear the other people in the neighbouring rental property. This ordinarily wouldn't be a problem but at night we were all disturbed by a poorly child crying and coughing through the night as well as banging on the wall to get their parents' attention. As said, if the neighbours are quietly asleep it wouldn't be an issue but unfortunately for us was a bit of a disturbance.

Beautiful cottage in a rural location. Beds in triple room were very comfortable.
Water pressure was extremely low. Made having a shower/ bath difficult.
Double bed in second bedroom was not as comfortable as we hoped.
