We absolutely loved our stay here. We all wish we could have stayed here our whole time we were in Ahipara however we were happy with the brief time we did have. Despite the issues with internet connection, we made it work. I look forward to the next time I am in Ahipara and hope this will be available again.

Everything you need for a no fuss getaway. Perfect veiw, caught myself staring out the kitchen window alot 😁 Comfy bed, quiet spot. Great location. Nice little batch with a sleep out. Amazing views from the deck. Everything was good. Only downside was that the sleep out had a leakage so the bed and mat was soaking wet. Lucky we didn’t have extra people staying with us or else they wouldn’t have a bed. Other than that I would recommend and stay here again!

Wonderful kiwi bach which suited us and friend for the week. Brilliant location with amazing views! It felt like we had the whole beach to ourselves, excellent waves and the water was lovely and warm. The owner was excellent with communication and helped us out with a last minute change due to COVID restrictions being put in place. We will be back again without a doubt!

Awesome little bach with all that’s needed for a few comfortable days away from the city. Beautiful beach views, well equipped simple kitchen, we stayed with our 2 kids aged 7 and 11 and everybody was happy! Neat kiwiana touches, very clean. Loved the bean bags to lounge on the deck, a really great place to relax! Communication with the owner was prompt and clear, thank you!

Very enjoyable stay. Had everything we needed. Beautiful decor. Owners are very kind and communicate well. Only negative was finding that the BBQ is a charcoal BBQ which was a challenge for us to light with the current fire restrictions in Ahipara.

We loved the simplicity of this place tucked into a little hideaway retreat overlooking magical seascapes. The deck and garden views are fantastic and we appreciated the simple touches with magical Buddha sculptures thoughtful colors. To our delight, we were able to walk to the nearby playground for our son and walk to the end of the road to reach an easy beach access on the end of the river. We hope to stay again. Great hosts who are easy to communicate with as well Thank you.

The property was amazing and our family of two small children and 3 adults could have stayed more nights. Its cosy and clean with added little extras that made the stay even more extra. The view and sound of the beach is spectacular. We will definitely be coming again. Communication with owner was quick and easy so hassle free. The only downside for us was the neighbours dog that obviously runs free as much as the owners try to call him back. I assume he runs free when the bach is unoccupied. Our children are not accustomed to dogs just yet so did not venture outside as much. The dog was quite playful and nipped and jumped on us adults. Dog poo on the property as well. Obviously not the owners fault but the only downside to an otherwise wonderful experience.

A simple, yet lovely place to relax for a few days. Lovely owners who were responsive and helpful. Wonderful sea and sunset views, comfy beanbags, crisp linen and good decor. Beach path not yet created and will improve access to long sand beach. Decor refresh still in progress so will be super once this is complete. Deck needs a prop up. Used as a base to explore Northland. Not much to do in Ahipara itself. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Loved the location and the house. Love the character and style of the house, the decor is also very nice, elegant and comfortable. The house was clean and tidy, lots of soft furnishings and a perfect place for a weekend away! The coffee machine was also a BONUS! I love coffee could drink it every hour of every day. Bach had everything you could need and more. Shower was also really good, lots of hot water and good pressure! Really enjoyed my stay even if the weather wasn't that amazing. We were still able to get a nice walk in on the beach Saturday morning. Suggestions - and this is just me nitpicking: For the colder months might be better to have an extra oil heater for the bedroom, I ended up carrying the heater from the lounge to bedroom with oven mittens and a towel, it was already hot from having it on in the lounge and unfortunately it was quite a chilly weekend, and surface from lounge to bedroom not even enough to roll her through :-) Don't know if this could be fixed at all - but after you flush the toilet a lot of water splashes onto the seat, not sure if this was from the cylinder or splashed up from the bowl? my microbiologist brain had a party with this question. Other than that had an amazing time and loved every second of it! Thank you so much!

Beautiful setting, the deck is a perfect spot to sit and watch the waves and the sunset. The bach is comfortable, nicely decorated and had everything we needed although the kitchen and bathroom are a little run down. But a great comfy sofa and selection of books, and awesome to be able to just walk down onto the beach.

The Bach is a rare but perfect blend of all the kitchy awesomeness we remember from baches in the past with the wonderful additions of simple tasteful decor, comfy modern furniture and of course a great coffee machine! It's views are without a doubt some of the most stunning we've seen and available throughout the living areas and bedroom. The owners have provided smart additional seating for outside, good quality soft furnishings and if you can get over your envy that they get to own this piece of heaven you are very very grateful they allowed you to borrow it for a short time! On top of that they were brilliant to deal with, generous and welcoming as well as sharing some excellent local info on cafes etc. If you book this lovely place you will not be disappointed, just make sure you leave us some dates as we'll definately be back again!
