A travelling gem

This restored 1870 Kauri villa on the beach is stunning. Impeccably restored. Tastefully decorated. Immaculately clean. Fully equipped for the perfect stay. Anna and Blaine are perfect hosts. The location on Shipwreck beach is wonderful. Exceptional value for money. Thank you Anna and Blaine for a wonderful stay. We left fully revived for the road ahead.

Beach lover’s paradise!

Beautiful yard across from the beach with surf board and wetsuit rentals available. The rooms were clean, comfortable and homey. Bathroom was exceptionally clean and spacious. Kitchen area was well-stocked, organized and great for meeting other travellers. The hosts were friendly, helpful and ensured our stay was pleasant. Would definitely stay again!! 10/10

A beautiful, historic property to explore Ahipara and the surrounding areas

This is a really good base to explore Northland, and is in such a picturesque and historic building, too. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable, and there are various areas inside and outside to enjoy downtime.

It is on the pricey side. The majority of hostels similar to this one that I’ve encountered in New Zealand have been at least a third if not half of the price of this one.

Great little guest house

Lovely house a stones throw away from 90 mile beach. Easy to find and park. Host was very quick at getting about to you and welcoming you in. Only niggle was that it was noisy. The floors and bed creak & doors bang, if you are a lite sleeper this keeps you up. There's no TV in the room, so you cannot just chill in the own space after a long drive.

Great stay - chilled vibes & lovely hosts!

We had such a lovely stay here for a couple of night - great garden area to chill out front & amazing beachfront location. We arrived with a smashed car window & the hosts were so accommodating, helping us clear up the mess & patch it back up. Really recommend this place!

A great place to stay!

Everything! Our host was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The guest house was immaculately clean in all aspects. The kitchen facility was well stocked with everything necessary and the large outside dining table was perfect for dining and socializing with other guests at the same time. We would definitely stay again. And the sound of the surf at night was a welcome bonus!!

I can't think of a single thing we did not like about Endless Summer guest house. To quote Forrest Gump, "that's all I got to say about that."

An unexpected gem of a find and we’ll be back ❤️

The house and gardens are beautiful. We loved the restored home and natural wooden kitchen and furniture. The queen room we booked was spacious and comfortable. The additional features, like the solar water, under floor bathroom heating were added comforts, and the covered outdoor seating and BBQ area were great for eating alfresco in any weather. There is good fridge and cupboard storage. The beach and coastal views are stunning. This is a great base to explore Cape Reinga and surrounding forests, and further south. We enjoyed chatting with other guests and the owners are very welcoming and relaxed 😎

What a find, superb location and accommodation!

Really well equipped kitchen, gorgeous place, location superb, beach front. We had a great stay here, in saying that, it was the start of the season and we were their first guests so feel lucky to have had it fresh. Superb decoration, outdoor areas, pizza oven! Such a gorgeous place.

Even though there were only a few others staying, the noise travelled so we could hear noise but it wouldn't be overcrowded as not too many rooms.

This family run inn is a lovely place. There are rooms for both backpackers and more formal travelers. The common kitchen is lively and people share their experiences while cooking and eat in g together.

The room was beautiful and super clean. the kitchen, patio,view is amazing. And has everything that you need. The staff was super welcoming too.

maybe a fan will be good or fresh/ thin blankets. It had a kinda of heavy blanket, so it was hot!! The washrooms were clean maybe I suggest to have some shampoo or soap for the body maybe in the room ?

Perfect location. Listening to the ocean whilst you lie in bed. Very clean. Beautiful villa. Nice hosts.

Ensuite facilities would be nice. But I assume the building is listed and couldn't be altered. But that's just me being picky. No complaints really.
