Location was wonderful, countryside silence which I love! Harriet was a wonderful host very smiley and nothing was to much trouble as we needed a microwave for baby’s bottles and within 5 minutes her wonderful husband bought us one round.
Gorgeous air BnB, very clean and incredibly comfortable.
Perfect for our one night stay before my wedding day:)
Would recommend and I would stay again
Nothing I could have changed for what we needed:).

Lovely sight the first time you drive down the long driveway and see the main house. Very warm welcome from Harriet when we arrived who made time to be interested in us and it was clear that both Harriet and her husband Giles would do anything that they could to make the stay enjoyable including bringing us some milk , fresh water each day and even a bottle of tomato sauce and a lemon for our take away fish and chips that we got from Andover a short drive away . Newbury race course was also only 30 minutes drive . A very peaceful location with wildlife including colourful birds , squirrels and even saw a pheasant in the garden when we were driving out one day . Could see the stars clearly at night from the window above our bed . The lodge has lots of history and character and everything that we needed for an enjoyable weekend. The lodge was very clean and we had towels and toiletries left for us if we needed them, board games, tv and books . Lots of restaurants in nearby Andover and local pubs. We did not have time to go for walks from the lodge on our 2 night stay , but the village looked lovely when we drove through it with lots of thatched houses.
We did not have any issues to mention

No sink downstairs.

THE LOCATION WAS BEAUTIFUL, PART OF A LOVELY SETTING. THE OWNERS WERE VERY APPROACHABLE AND THEIR DOGS REALLY FRIENDLY. THERE WAS AMPLE SLEEPING SPACE.
THERE WAS NO KITCHEN FACILITIES, BUT TEA/COFFEE/KETTLE ITEMS WERE PROVIDED. THE OVERALL MAINTENANCE WAS NOT AS IT COULD BE, A FEW MARKS ON PILLOWS ETC. AND DUST/COBWEBS. THESE LITTLE THINGS DID NOT OUTWEIGH THE NATURAL SETTING.

Peaceful area
A treacherously dangerous spiral staircase makes this place unsuitable for families with young children as well as elderlies. No tap in the kitchen to fill the kettle is not appreciated.

Lovely accomodation and Harriet was brilliant and welcoming from the start of us communicating and even brought us some milk straight away upon arrival and some extra plates, she was very attentive. The living room and bedrooms were a hit with the kids and they especially enjoyed the use of the trampoline and in particular the tennis courts which were an added bonus and they loved having a go at tennis so much so that we have bought some rackets now for home.
No kitchen as such as specified in the listing but there is a fridge, microwave and toaster which was enough for our needs and Harriet was more than happy to sort any washing up we had.
The location was lovely and peaceful and ideal for our visit to Paultons park in May. We even left my son's comforters behind but Harriet got in touch straight away to inform me and was willing to go out of her way to return these and we managed to retrieve these later.
All in all a great stay and if we could have done longer we would have - would definitely return again!! 😊

Location was good - picturesque village and quaint house.
The place was cold and we had no water when we first arrived. The owners did sort the water problem but we were cold. The place obviously has potential but it was disappointing. Needs to be freshened up and it could’ve been cleaner - windows were dirty!

Stayed here while doing a bike trip around the south west and host was very welcoming and accommodating and place was clean and tidy and very calm
Mattresses are about 1000 years old. A small spend on new mattresses will transform the comfort of this stay.

We loved the location, quiet, beautiful and peaceful. The fresh fruit my kids loved and the awesome sandwiches Harriet brought was delicious. Very very kind and super! Would stay again if I come down this way. Thank you for your hospitality.

Quiet, spacious, private and homely in beautiful countryside.
Bedrooms link through to each other so ideal for families but perhaps not some groups wanting more privacy.

lovely to have a lounge as well as bedrooms as felt very spacious. Owner was very friendly and approachable. Grounds were pleasant. Able to order a lovely take away.
very difficult to find although owner kindly helped us when we rang her, it was lovely but spiral metal staircase would have been hazardous with a small child. Would have liked the tv in the lounge rather than 1 bedroom.

It had character and was nice to be in the same place, plenty of space upstairs
The downstairs decor was quite unique and not to everyone’s taste. The carpets could have done with a wash, or been replaced. Some of the walls were dirty, the beds weren’t that comfortable, there were empty coffee wrappers in the bedroom, the bathroom flooded as the plastic wasn’t intact. Just felt a little neglected and uncared for.

The host was warm and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable.
I think the facilites were good but it lacks a little care and attention. Take up the carpets and reveal the lovely stone floor.
