Lovely stay, will definitely return.

Beautiful hotel, it was a return visit and would definitely go back. Excellent spa facilities and availbility.

Would be nice to have robes in the room that you could then use for the spa as they only provide towels. The staff in the restaurant in the evening weren't very attentive, needed a bit of prompting, mainly due to age and experience. Room service would be beneficial.

Liked the facilities. Used the gym and spa area a lot.

Breakfast on Sunday was manic! Had to order my poached eggs twice, the hash browns took about 15 minutes to come out, by which time the food on my plate & toast had got cold and hubby had finished his breakfast before I even started! Saw another guest had burnt her hand and feel it took too long to get her a cold towel to put round it! Was in room 283 & was a long walk!! Good exercise.

We stay here frequently and poor staffing was evident in all departments.

Good location for visiting family in the army.

Staffing very poor. Waited 15 minutes to get checked in as they didn't know how to use computer. Breakfast service very poor, running out of pastries and fried eggs waiting to be restocked. Waited 15 minutes for spa staff no one on desk. Cleaner started to scrub floor tiles around pool when we were using facilities. Bar staff extremely slow and unexperienced. We had booked a meal in restaurant prior and waiter spent a long time trying to locate our booking. Trouble using computer system again.

A thoroughly enjoyable weekend away and stay at Norton Park, we will definitely be coming back for a return visit.

The pool was excellent and the overall condition and upkeep of the hotel, grounds and spa area we found to be of a better standard that some others who position themselves in the luxury market. Both breakfast and dinner were exceptionally good again the staff being attentive, professional and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in Winchester.

Disappointing accessible facilities, Breakfast originally abysmal.

Good location. Room acceptable. Leisure area good. Cold buffet Breakfast very good. Hot buffet improved to acceptable after complaint. It shouldn't be necessary to complain to get an acceptable hot buffet, that should be on the Breakfast staffs normal activities not having to get the Manager to sort.

Breakfast on day 1 was abysmal. Arrived to no bacon in trays, 2 dried up fried eggs swimming in fat, Mushrooms dried to almost dehydrated consistency, beans had complete crusty top. Fifteen minutes later after eating cold buffet no change, had to ask for replacements. Staff seem forcibly polite as in not really interested but I've been told to smile. Accessible room 100 yards from Restaurant, impossible for 1 person in wheelchair or mobility Scooter to open some of the doors if they opened towards the user.

I arrived at 13.30 followed the convoluted route to the reception and asked if I could check in. No greeting just a response of that will be £25 for early check in. I think that typifies the experience. No real attempt to provide customer service. Soap in my room needed me to point out it needed to be refilled and over heated rooms.

It’s ok for the money.

We wanted somewhere local to escape to with a pool.

Just little things that add up! The shower leaked on the floor, it also dripped most of the time, the bed was hard, the chamber maids where noisy in the morning, kids menu wasn’t great for us, but most of all THE POOL WAS FREEZING! We were hoping for a lovely relaxing swim but it was so cold we only stayed in 20 minutes.

Great Hotel but difficult to find on a winters evening

Meals were very good, breakfast was exceptional. I dined in the bar in the evening reasonable selection at reasonable prices. Swimming Pool was good.

Great hotel that it is, it is practically impossible to find in the dark, even with SatNav. Greater lighting on the turn off from the country road would help. Very poor selection of real ales - clientele must be predominantly lager drinkers.

It was adequate For what we wanted

It was in a good location for what I wanted. The Wi-Fi was good in the room was comfortable.

I didn’t really like The spa facilities when they were so busy I think they should’ve been a limit on the amount of time people could sit in certain facilities such as The heated seats. There were people sat on there for 40 minutes. Maybe no one else could actually access that especially during the time that was indicated just children There was also a limit on age in the sauna and steam yet this didn’t seem to matter to most people. There were very young people in there.

My stay was fine as only one night. The whole place could do with updating . Quite tired interior.

I thought the breakfast was quite poor. Food was cold , not fully topped up and staff looked like they didn’t want to be there . I had to ask off several things that had run out . Ie yogurt , eggs etc not being topped up .

Definitely the breakfast. Was disappointed there was no jacuzzi which you expect at a spa hotel .

Stay was ok but food was very very poor

Overall the 2 night stay was ok, room was good and bed very comfy, staff were great. Food was awful, no hot food left first morning, booked for dinner second night, and must say it was very poor. My wife ordered crab and crayfish Thermidor and she was delivered a fish cake, potato croquettes came out 10 mins later. I had BBQ pork and the sauce was way too hot and burnt my mouth, and that’s saying something as I can eat the hottest curry’s.

Overall another great stay!

Our second time staying here with the dog and this time with 18 month old baby. Overall a great stay as it’s so easy for a one night stop off the A303. The room was comfy and spacious. We had a waiter at dinner, clearly fresh back from uni but had a great sense of humour and good service skills. It makes a difference! Despite being disappointed by a few things, I’d certainly stay here again.

Check in was a bit clunky and there were a few tables in the bar that could have been cleared away even though staff were standing around behind the bar. Shame the hours for the pool are limited for kids, but if I didn’t have a kid I’d probably appreciate that more! We requested a cot, which wasn’t set up but thankfully had one in the car anyway. They have very particular dog policies. Not a problem as our pooch is very flexible.

Great place to stay with lovely grounds

Breakfast was an excellent buffet. Pool looked nice, but we didn’t actually use it. Our room was very clean and a good size. Bed very comfortable. Free Wi-Fi was at a good speed, suitable for streaming Netflix etc.

The hotel is very sprawling. Our room was an awfully long way from reception and the check in desk’s instructions on how to get there was a bit vague. We found the duvet was too hot, but no worse than other hotels. TV was basic, with only freeview on offer and the schedule refused to load.

Very disappointed after previous stays that have been wonderful

I booked in advance for 2 additional guests for breakfast stating in my notes that we were were planning to meet for breakfast at 9.30am. I was meeting my brothers who I had t seen for a year, and very much looking forward to it. We actually we t for breakfast about 9.15. The breakfast staff were unaccomodating. We were asked to leave before we’d finished being told breakfast finishes at 9.30am - which I was not told when I specifically booked breakfast for 9.30am. ( and prepaid) . The coffee machines were shut down at 9.30 sharp. We felt like an inconvenience. And it left a very bitter taste- I felt the hotel was trying to extract as much money as possible without really caring for the guest experience.

Fabulously quiet location in the middle of the country. Thoughtful decor and a homely yet contemporary feel. Lots of great seating areas. Especially liked the bar. The swimming pool and spa were in good condition and lovely to spend time in. The staff were all helpful and friendly.

The heating in our bedroom didn’t work well but the staff immediately provided us with a heater (also offered a room change). Coat hooks in the bedrooms would be a helpful addition.

Lovely relaxing weekend away.

The spa and pool were excellent. We found all the staff friendly and helpful, a real credit to young people. The room was comfortable and clean. Nice relaxed and informal atmosphere. Breakfast choice was excellent.

We thought the food was overpriced for the quality. The coffee at breakfast was poor quality, which was a shame as the rest of the breakfast was excellent

Very enjoyable stay

Lovely environment. Staff very friendly and helpful although a little inexperienced in some areas (barmaid googling to see what white wines were dry for example). Comfortable bed and nice rooms.

Not much swimming time for children. Understand this for really young kids who splash around but older children who just want to swim should be fine. Coffee (from machines ) in bar and restaurant is?awful.
