About this cottage rental

Hempstead Road in Holt is a stunning and spacious end terrace cottage - situated just a few minutes walk from the centre of the beautiful Norfolk town of Holt, right in the heart of North Norfolk. Our home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests and 2 four legged friends. Just a few minutes walk from Holt town centre and a 15 minute drive to Cromer, Sheringham and the beautiful North Norfolk coast - 57 Hempstead Road offers a little bit of luxury in Norfolk.

A super comfortable and spacious living room with comfy sofas and 42" HD SMART TV leads on to an open plan dining area that seats 6 comfortably. This in turn leads on to a large and well equipped kitchen, with all of the accessories you'll need - no matter how long or short your stay. The patio doors from the kitchen open into a large and secure patio and back garden. There s also a WC and utility room downstairs.

Upstairs you'll find two large bedrooms - one with a super comfortable king sized bed and the other with a luxurious double. Then there's a third bedroom with adult sized bunk beds. Also upstairs there is also a well equipped family bathroom with bath, shower, WC and basin. The garden is vast and fully secure, with patio, outdoor seating and dining furniture and a barbecue included. Guests have a private drive with parking spaces for up to two cars.

What a well equipped and comfortable house for the 5 of us as a base to visit extended family in Cromer. We enjoyed the local amenities in Holt and were very happy with our stay . Thank you.

The host had left a very kind box of goodies for us to enjoy.Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay and have recommended for other visiting family.

Good communication, very good location, property had everything we needed to make for a lovely weekend away. 10 mins walk into Holt, 3/4 mins walk to the country park and plenty of places to visit within 20/30 mins drive. Would definitely look to book this property again.

House was lovely, just a few stains on bedding. Mike was so helpful and got back to us very quickly, no complaints there. Front garden a bit shabby, dead plants, needs a good tidy, let’s the house down.

We had a lovely time in Holt and North Norfolk and Mike the property owner gave us all the information we needed prior to our arrival. The accommodation was very comfortable and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. It is only a short walk from the property in to Holt with its shops and pubs. The property has a lovely kitchen area that we utilised and all 4 of us were very comfortable in the bedrooms. A trip on the North Norfolk Railway to Sheringham is recommended and you cannot fail to enjoy the lovely coastline.

Thank you Mike for your diligence, friendliness and support, it was much appreciated at this challenging time (Covid 2021). Thank you too, for a wonderful stay. It was great to finally get away after seeing the same four walls for over a year. The home and location was ideal - for the pretty town of Holt, seaside towns and local places of interest. We couldn't fault anything and will definitely be back.

whereas the property is very spacious,there are issues.It is situated on a main road and in the mornings it is extremely noisy also it is not the most pleasant walk into Holt.Regarding the cleanliness,I would say it is average at best (in these times of covid I would expect it to be 100% )The soap dispensers in the toilet and bathroom were left half full from I assume previous guests and in fact the downstairs toilet was not even anti-bacterial.Perhaps the taps could do with some lime scale remover.Finally when we came to strip the bed before leaving , we noticed there was no pillow protectors(I thought this was mandatory in hospitality) and both the duvet and mattress were stained.

Property was clean, lovely secure garden for the dog to run around in and location was great with a very short walk into Holt. We had everything we needed and it was clear everything was being done to reduce risk regarding Covid-19; which was reassuring. If you're a light sleeper, it's worth bearing in mind that the 2 bedrooms at the front of the property face the road, which is shared with an industrial estate and industrial vehicles come and go very early in the morning and are quite loud. Can't fault communication with the property owner and nothing was too much trouble.

Property is brilliant. Like stepping into the TARDIS, it just keeps on going! Large rooms, really lovely garden space too. There’s been a lot of effort put into the spec of the property and it just makes it a great place to wake up in and come back to of an evening. Definitely will be using again!

The only negative was that the TV reception on some channels (including BBC1) was poor, so these channels were unwatchable. Apart from that it was a perfect place to stay

A really nice house that had benn refurbished to a high standard, very comfortable, well kitted out. The only issue we had was that iione of the beds had not had the linen changed. We emailed the owner who had the situation sorted the next day and was very apologetic so it was resolved quickly. We would come again to this property as we liked it very much. A couple of minor things, no teapot! Also hooks on the bedroom doors for dressing gowns would be useful. Overall we were very happy with our choice of the house fo r our stay in Holt .

The home has clearly been recently renovated to a high standard. It's warm, spacious and comfortable. It's only a short walk into Holt and well situated between the popular coastal tourist spots. Recommend staying here.
