Stunning! Beautiful contemporary property in Holt, Norfolk

Good location, approximately a 15 minute walk into Holt town centre (or 5 mins by car) which had plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and takeaways. Also within easy reach by car for Wells, Cromer, Sheringham etc. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 teens and found the house and garden spacious, beautifully decorated and well thought out, with all the little essentials needed including a few nice little welcome goodies. James was easy to contact and happy for us to extend our stay by another night when we decided we weren’t ready to go home! Would recommend The Feathers for a tasty roast, fish and chips from Albert’s, pizza from Eric’s, the pottery wheel workshop at The Salted Kiln, horse trekking at the Squirrel Wood Equestrian Centre, a wander around Baconsthorpe Castle, a trip to Wells for the lovely beach and Sunny Hunny for the arcades and fair.

Back doors were a little tricky to lock but fine once you mastered the knack.

Excellent , comfortable , spacious modern 4 bedroom house on new small housing estate in Holt. Well equipped , thoughtful touches with welcome basket plus enough crockery , cutlery and range of cooking equipment for 8 . Seating inside and out with fully enclosed garden suitable for dogs ( we didn’t end up taking our pooch but it is dog friendly for those pups on tour )

Nothing , all good . Only heads up - Google maps misidentified some of the roads around the property as new estate but found it in the end

Lovely, spacious property in a peaceful setting The house is nice and spacious, set on a quiet estate just outside of Holt — perfect for a relaxing and peaceful getaway. Nice welcome left - would be even better with a laminated card for everyone!

Mixed experience – a few improvements could make a big difference Unfortunately, we were unable to access the property until 4pm, and the owner did not respond to my message asking if we could arrive an hour earlier. Access is via a kitchen door rather than the front door, which wasn’t made clear in advance and led to some initial confusion. On arrival, we found that the coffee machine had no pods, and the WiFi password provided was incorrect — we eventually found the right one scribbled on a post-it note. A simple laminated welcome card with clear instructions would really help avoid this kind of faff. The accommodation itself felt a little tired in places. A rug in the living room was a trip hazard, and the kitchen lacked some basic essentials such as oven gloves, trays, tin foil, or parchment paper — all of which would be expected for self-catering. In the master bedroom, the bed squeaked with every movement, and the curtains let in a significant amount of daylight, making it difficult to sleep. Overall, I feel the owners would benefit from investing in some small but important upgrades to improve the overall guest experience — better communication, a few essentials, and attention to detail would go a long way.
