Nice, relaxing stay and with a few tweaks it could be excellent
The apartment was very central, quiet and spacious and stocked with fresh milk, fresh bread, tea and coffee. Reception provided a voucher for free tea and cake and a complimentary drink in the Byfords bar which was a nice touch. It was very clean and had all that was needed to self-cater.
I wasn’t provided with the key code prior to arrival, so I had to check in at Reception, which was fine. However, the confirmation mentioned that there was no parking available, so I paid £8.90 for 24-hour parking—only to find out at Reception that parking was actually free with a Byfords sticker, allowing guests to park in Budgens. The entrance hall could benefit from some refreshing, such as a repaint. The exterior appeared a bit worn, with weeds at the entrance and a door that lacked a polished finish. The apartment itself is pleasant, though the styling feels somewhat eclectic. I personally found the placement of the bath at the top of the stairs unconventional, and for a woman staying alone, additional security measures—such as a double lock on the inner apartment door or at least a couple of bolts—would be reassuring. A more comfortable sofa would be a welcome addition, especially as I had booked the apartment for a relaxing getaway and spent my evenings indoors. For almost £200 per night, I think it could benefit from a few improvements.

Gorgeous apartment, excellent location
Stunning apartment and great location for exploring Holt. Great facilities. Could do with a milk frother for coffee machine as there is no microwave to warm milk. Large, comfortable bed and gorgeous bathroom. Will stay again!
