Fully wooden floors, two fireplaces, original stone masonry. The house has a large entrance hall with fireplace, solid wood kitchen, large living room with fireplace, 10 sqm terrace. and a sauna created in an old closet partially dug out of the rock.
The sleeping area has three double bedrooms all furnished with original, ancient and restored furniture, large bathroom with shower. We had a nice week here at this house in the mountains. The view was stunning, incredible bird song all day, and lumenescent fireflies at night.Lovely places to sit and enjoy the scenery and have a meal. Pool is small but great for a dip to cool off.The house is very charming and is better in real life! Lorenzo was very helpful and welcoming.

Lovely house full of rustic charm

We were a group of three adults and six children that stayed in the house for four nights. We loved this great place that is tucked away in the greenery and has stunning views. Mauro, the owner is very friendly and helpfull. There is a pizza oven outdoors and a huge table so many can eat together. The drive up and down was a little hairy the first time but something we got used to fast. We would definately come back to this gem of a house!

We had the most incredible stay at this beautiful house. A magical paradise set amongst lush green trees , nestled in the beautiful mountains. It was perfect for our trip, only 40 mins drive from Pisa Airport and and a 30 min drive to the sea we had everything at our fingertips. We felt like locals and it was quiet, tranquil and the perfect get away! Despite the weather being wet for our stay we still had an amazing trip; with the sauna, beautiful fire and pizza oven, this property is amazing come rain or shine. We enjoyed diving into the cold pool after our wood fired sauna. There are many local walks in the mountains and you must eat at the local restaurant, Osteria il Chiosco nel Bosco it is incredible not to mention the views!!! Maura and his family were incredible hosts and came and lit the sauna for us and helped us make pizzas in the wood fired oven - collecting all the wood and preparing the oven for us. There hospitality was wonderful, they are a beautiful family and have the most incredible home. It had amazing amenities and everything you could possibly need. It is a small adventure driving up the small winding mountain roads and then down a narrow, stone track but if you are a confident driver it will be no problem for you and is well worth the adventure to stay at this magical paradise. I would definitely come here again. Thank you Mauro for a magical stay in your beautiful home :)

This is a true paradise, a hidden holiday home on the hill of Tuscany

We were a family of six (from Ireland, London, Washington and Beijing), came to Italy for holiday. We stayed in this magic place for 6 days at the end of June. At the last evening meal, sitting in the garden, gazing the magnificent cliffs in front of us, looking down villages in the valley bordered by the sea , we said to each other to same thing - we could have stayed another week, and we would definitely come back next year! This place indeed is a hidden paradise. It is the last three houses located almost at the top of the mountain. The views on the way up were breathtaking. Indeed, the magic of this house is the surprising sceneries one discovers constantly - from the window deck; the garden dining area, and by the poolside. One never ceases to be amazed. If you like hiking , this is an ideal place to stay. A small village halfway down was charming, with an old church, a bar and lots of paintings on the wall. The restaurant right up the village was excellent - about 10 minutes walking down, but you need to be fit to walk back home . Mauro, the host was wonderful. He met us in town to take us to the house. The last 3 minutes of driving to the house is little challenging, so advise you to follow Mauro to this hidden paradise. Thank you Mauro.

We loved the views and country feel of this old stone home with all the modern amenities needed. Everything is just as it appears in the photos. The house is half of a duplex but the neighbours were only there on one day while we were there and the yard and pool are private to the rental. North American visitors need to be comfortable with European style driving on narrow steep roads to access the property. Once there, it offers great hiking with many great country restaurants in the area but we had lots of fun making our own dinners in the pizza oven!! The owner and his family are very warm, welcoming, and helpful. The were some minor maintenance issues related to the upkeep of an old house in the country but the owner was very responsive. Thanks again!!

We had a wonderful stay at Mauro's house. The house was beautiful and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen, large bathroom, three bedrooms and a living room that we used as a fourth bedroom with bedsofa. There were lots of games in house that you can use, and there's plenty of space outside to play, eat and relax. The swimming pool is small but even with a group of 8 adults, it was more than sufficient and the view was phenomenal. There were only two downsides: there's no sun around the house after 6pm and the road to the house is tricky. After driving it once or twice you get the hang of it, but it was a challenge nonetheless. Supermarkets, the beach and nearby villages are a +/- 30 min. drive. If you don't feel like driving a lot during your vacation then keep this in mind. In the end we had a lovely stay and Mauro was a kind and helpful host!

Ein wirklich schönes Rustico liebevoll mit authentischen Möbeln eingerichtet. Und auch der Ausblick war wunderschön, dafür sind wir gerne lange Serpentinen hochgefahren. Leider hat die Sauberkeit teilweise gefehlt (Staub Dreck tote Insekten in vielen Ecken und unterm Bett) und man darf sich vor Skorpionen und großen Spinnen nicht fürchten. Es ist hier eben Natur pur angesagt. Deutsches TV und WLAN haben nicht funktioniert, was bei den herrlichen Pooltagen kein Problem war. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich.

Wir haben die Woche sehr genossen und die Abgeschiedenheit in den Bergen und doch so nah am Meer sehr genossen. Das Haus ist liebevoll eingerichtet und im großzügigen Außenbereich konnten wir so richtig schön relaxen. Der Blick ist einfach herrlich und für Wanderliebhaber eine ideale Unterkunft. Der Vermieter Mauro war sehr behilflich und man konnte ihn jederzeit bei Fragen erreichen. Mit Gemüse aus dem Garten sind wir auch noch versorgt worden und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Ein herrliches Dankeschön nochmals an dich Mauro und wir werden sicher gerne wieder kommen, um das schöne Fleckchen Erde zu genießen. Stefanie und Freunde

Wir (6 Erwachsene) haben unseren 2 wöchigen Urlaub in Mauros Haus nach sehr abenteuerlicher Anreise (letztes Stück steil, enge Serpentinen) sehr genossen. Die Lage und die Ruhe in den Bergen mit dem tollen Blick bis zum Mittelmeer (vom/aus dem Pool) ist einfach traumhaft. Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und mit allem, was man braucht, ausreichend ausgestattet. Mauro war über WhatsApp für uns jederzeit erreichbar und hilfreich (@Mauro: vielen Dank für die Hilfe bei unserer Anreise mit dem Transport unseres Gepäcks vom Auto zum Haus!). Wenn es etwas zu kritisieren gibt, dann wäre es, dass das WLAN nicht so richtig funktionierte und das ein oder andere schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen ist. Womit wir uns allerdings gar nicht anfreunden konnten, waren die Skorpione, die wir leider täglich im Haus antrafen, so dass wir jeden Abend auf Skorpionjagd gingen. Einer hat mich tatsächlich morgens im Bett(!) erwischt.

Wir waren 7 Personen in dem Haus. Es hat an nichts gefehlt, die Ruhe in den Bergen war ein Traum. Der Pool und der eigene Pizzaofen waren das Highlight. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen.

Wir haben zwei wunderschöne Wochen im Sommer in Mauros Haus in den Bergen oberhalb von Casoli verbracht. Das Haus ist sehr schön im toskanischen Stil eingerichtet. Es gibt 3 Zimmer mit Doppelbetten, ein großes Bad, eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche, einen Wohnbereich mit dem Pelletofen, eine Sauna, einen gemütlichen Balkon und die große Terrasse mit dem Pizzaofen und einen riesigen Tisch. Im unteren Bereich gibt es ein kleineres Bad mit Dusche. Eine Terrasse höher dann der schöne Pool mit der Außendusche. Man bedindet sich auf ca. 550 m Höhe, so dass es im Sommer nicht so heiß ist. Ob das auch der Grund ist, dass wir dieses Jahr kaum Ärger mit den Mücken hatten, wissen wir nicht. Mauro wohnt in Camaiore und ist immer ansprechbar und erreichbar, falls irgendwas ist. Die Anfahrt ist mit normalen PKWs kein Problem, mit tiefergelegten Fahrzeugen könnte es aber etwas schwieriger werden. Mauro, danke nochmal für den schönen Urlaub, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, die Kinder reden immer noch davon, dass sie dir wieder helfen wollen. Wir kommen hoffentlich wieder.

Mauro und seine Familie sind total unkompliziert, unglaublich hilfsbereit und fürsorglich. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit in ihrer Cottage. Der Ausblick vom Pool ist atemberaubend, die Küche umfangreichste ausgestattet. Zur Begrüßung gab es ein Körbchen mit Wasser, Wein und Gebäck. Der moderne Pelletofen leistet wunderbare Arbeit um Wasser und Haus zu wärmen und es ist ein Abenteuer im Pizzaofen Pizza zu backen. Direkt am Haus beginnt ein Wanderweg der verschiedene Optionen bietet die Berge zu erkunden. Casoli ist ein sehr schönes kleines Dörfchen, es nennt sich Graffitidorf. An vielen Häusern gibt es Graffitis, ebenso ein Alimentare und einen Obst- und Gemüseladen.

Wir verbrachten eine traumhafte Zeit in Mauros Haus. Es ist alles da was das Herz begehrt um die Seele baumeln zulassen. Einen besonderen Dank an Mauro und seine Familie die uns viel Herzlichkeit entgegen brachten. Schnell hatte man das Gefühl bei Freunden zu Besuch zu sein. Wir sagen nochmals herzlichen Dank für alles und freuen uns auf ein Wiedersehen. Für alle die in der Natur und Ruhe ihren Frieden finden und auch die wertvollen kulturellen Stätten der Umgebung schätzen ist diese Reise wärmstens zu empfehlen.

Vi har haft en super dejlig ferie i huset på toppen. Originalt og autentisk og meget rustik bolig. Fra Camaiore og op til huset, er der omkring 15 - 20 minutters smuk bjergkørsel.... man glemmer ikke liiige mælken (o: Vi havde en uge med fred og ro, tid til fordybelse og nærvær med familien. Flotte traveture i højderne med sved på panden. Ejeren Mauro, er en yderst venlig og hjælpsom vært. Vi kommer gerne igen.

The flat is about 15 Minutes to drive, in the hills over Camaiore. About 25 minutes to the beach. As described everything you need is there, the kitchen is very well equipped (sharp knifes!!!) all kind of typical Italian tools for making pasta or coffee. The small sauna works very well in the the style of a 60 degrees - mid temperature sauna. As we were in October, the automatic wooden pellet fireplace is really a good thing, not only because it looks nice, no it really heats up! Mauro, the owner is very helpful, from all kinds of tips for trips till problem solving actions in between 15 Minutes... he's a perfect host! In summer, the pool with the perfect view over the valley of Camaiore must be deluxe! The surrounding in the mountains is very nice for hiking and walking - as the flat is allowed with dogs, a perfect place for your fur-family members and you. I would highly recommend this, if you like to enjoy the silence and the nature... but also go to the beach, with some minutes to drive.

Wir haben unsere Zeit in diesem wirklich tollen Ferienhaus sehr genossen. Der Ausblick vom Pool aus ist atemberaubend. Der Pool war sauber und top gepflegt und es gibt sogar eine Warm Wasser Außen Dusche. Wir hatten vor dem Urlaub etwas Sorge, dass es mit dem Pool und einem 2,5 jährigen Kind unentspannt werden könnte. War aber kein Problem, da der Pool auf einer anderen Ebene ist als die Terrasse. Das konnte man auf den Fotos nicht so gut erkennen. Wir haben das Haus mit 6 Erwachsenen und einem Kleinkind bewohnt. Das passte optimal. Die Zimmer sind genauso wie auf den Fotos abgebildet. Richtig schnuckelig. Die Küche hat alles was man zum Kochen braucht, inklusive jede Menge scharfe Messer und sogar eine Kartoffelpresse. Auch Gewürze und Basics wie Mehl, Salz Zucker, Essig + Öl sind vorhanden. Die selbstgemachte Pizza aus dem Pizzaofen ist sehr zu empfehlen und es macht richtig viel Spaß. Der Pizzaofen braucht etwa eine Stunde bis er richtig heiß ist. Am besten direkt am Anfang Mauro, den Vermieter danach fragen. Er ist super nett und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Kommunikation hat auf englisch gut geklappt und er hat auf WhatsApps, SMS oder emails immer sehr schnell geantwortet. Alles in allem können wir dieses Haus wirklich weiterempfehlen. Die Anreise ist zwar etwas abendteuertlich, aber man gewöhnt sich schnell daran. Wer nach einem Haus mit Pool in der Toskana sucht, weiß ja, dass in der Regel der nächste Supermarkt nicht direkt um die Ecke ist und dass es da enge und kurvige Straßen gibt. Dafür wird man mit absoluter Ruhe und einem Top Ausblick belohnt. Wer gut zu Fuß ist, sollte unbedingt den Berg neben dem Haus erklimmen. Der Weg startet direkt beim Haus und vom Gipfelkreuz aus hat man einen unbeschreiblichen Ausblick über die ganze Toskana. Es wird da oben nicht so heiß wie unten im Ort, sodass wir auch im Haus sehr angenehme Temperaturen und einen erholsamen Schlaf hatten. Man kann es also auch im Hochsommer sehr gut aushalten. It is a very nice house up there in the hills behind Casoli, at the very end of the road. It has a great view over the valley of Camaiore to the sea, you could start hiking directly at the house. The house is lovely decorated, i would call it shabby chic, its basic but everything is allright, and the owner is very caring and friendly and sincere. I really can recommend the place to my friends.

The house is very beautiful. Its more beautiful than in the pictures. The outside space is very open and nice to sit in the evenings and the view from the pool is marvelous. Mauro the owner is very friendly and he gave us many tips ver to go and he is always there if you have a problem. We had the perfect holiday. We are already planning to go there next summer. It was just perfect!
