Toto is a great host! Everything that could possibly be needed is available, if something is missing, he solves it immediately. Toto has great knowledge of the area, so ask him for tips. Having your own car is a must. In the beginning, you were a little worried about the way up to the house, but you learned it quickly. There were 8 of us living in the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. Thank you for a fantastic week in Lucca 😍

It’s all you want for holiday; it’s better then the pictures. The view is amazing! The way to get up is small and difficult, you get used of it. The view is amazing and closed you a kind of viewing! We love it !

We traveled as a group of 4 adults and 4 children (between 4-8 years). The check in was without any problems. The host helped us in the first step to find the gateway. For tuscany proportions the way to the house was in good condition and we had no problems to drive with our cars. The house was older but in good condition and very clean. The house offers 2x rooms (doublebed) for adults and 3 x rooms for children (each room with 2x single beds) in sum also 3x bathes. The garden wa nice and offers different places to chill or to play for the kids. The private pool was fenced and big enough to swim and have fun. It is a quite and lovely place. Lucca is near, to the beach we needed 30 minutes. The host lives adjacent and was in every situation reachable for us if we needed him also the communication was in every way and at every time very pleasant and accommodating. If we do not needed him we have not seen or heared something of him. We would love to come back and thank our host very much for our perfect holiday :-).

We were a family of 8 (five adults and three children aged 7, 5 and 2) and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Di Toto. It’s a lovely old farmhouse, set amongst stunning scenery. We felt really relaxed throughout our stay...even though Toto and his family live next door. Toto gives you absolute privacy and is very nice and friendly. We made good use of the pool, BBQ and terrace. We particularly liked the little walk to the swimming pool and the views from it. It’s only a ten minute drive to beautiful Lucca and 25 minutes drive to the coast too. Everything was perfect!

Our party of 8 (6 adults + 2 children) had a great stay at Casa di Toto, a beautiful and authentic farmhouse near Lucca (about a 10 minutes drive by car). The place is peaceful, rooms are clean and the kitchen is well-equiped for families up to 10 persons. The farmhouse is a very nice and comfortable retreat after a day of exploring the northern part of Tuscany (e.g. Lucca, Pisa, Florence, Viareggio etc..). The view from the casa is astonishing whether you are sitting at one of the terraces, laying at the swimming pool or looking out of one the bedroom windows. Toto is an excellent and a very kind host. Very reachable, helpfull and he also he lets everyone enjoy their privacy. As more travellers already mentioned the private road uphill can be challenging for a larger van. Lucca is a charming middle-sized town and is not as touristy as e.g. Pisa or Florence. We loved exploring the medieval center with its cute little shops and walking/biking on the city walls. We recommend Casa di Toto to any traveller who wants to discover beautiful Tuscany. Toto, grazie mille for the great experience and your assistance!

This was our second visit to CASA DI TOTO as we are returning guests of toto , each time, we are further captivated by the serenity and comfort of this wonderful Tuscany house. The house is spacious yet cozy and is beautifully furnished with all the amenities one could possibly need to enjoy a wonderful Italian holiday. It's really bigger than you can see by photos because like toto told us “i prefer make real photos without any tricks”The views of the valley from the house are stunning and there are marvelous places to explore on foot, bicycle or auto in the surrounding hillsides.is real 1700th farmhouse and preserve all charme of this original house. Our host, toto and his wife have always gone above and beyond in making us feel right at home and provided much welcomed assistance in suggesting day trips and delicious local restaurants(not touristic) to visit. house is perfect clean and Street direction to arrive sended by toto are really perfect.rent cost is not expensive and payment on arrive day is 100% safe- A unique Italian experience! For those who love to cook, the kitchen is well equipped and a large grocery store (Esselunga)is a 10 minute trip by car and local little supermarket (simply) very close to the house open also on sunday morning with local food (meat , cheese bread...). If you have the opportunity, plan your visit during the olive harvest on early novembre. Last year we had the pleasure of joining this centuries old tradition which included spreading the nets and "raking" the olive trees to capture the abundant fruit. The weather was superb and views across the hillsides (and our occasional wine and cheese breaks!)rejuvenated us as we moved from tree to tree. toto then welcomed us to join her at the olive mill and witness the transformation into oil. With warm bread in hand, we watched the olives churn through production and patiently waited for the delicious oil to pore from the spout. What a unique and fabulous way to experience Italian traditions and an experience that we will never forget! This year we decide to come on summer and all was perfect again. House taste familiar flavour it seems you are at your home, place is very quiet and swimmingpool cleared every day is in amazing position in middle of olive grove, toto suggestions for place to visit restaurant and more are very helpfull to discover real original tuscany far from touristic place crowded of persons.thanks again We hope to be back many times more!

We had a very nice time at Casa di Egisto. The house is super and beautifully located. You can mix totally relaxed days by the house's swimming pool with the trips to visit places like Lucca, Pisa, Cinque Terre, Ligurian coast. Toto is a great host, we had a very good contact during the booking process, a lot of detailed informations how to get there, a warm welcome on arrival and a full help on site.

Wer Ruhe sucht, findet hier den richtigen Ort in dem geräumigen Haus. Die beiden Schlafzimmer unter dem Dach sind klimatisiert, so dass auch im Hochsommer die Temperaturen angenehm sind! Die wunderschöne Stadt Lucca ist in 10 Minuten zu erreichen, das Meer in ca. 30 Minuten. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich und gibt bei Bedarf nützliche Tipps. Die Anfahrt zum Haus ist von Toto exzellent beschrieben.

Wir erlebten einen wunderbaren Familienurlaub vor den Toren Luccas. Ein großes Gelände mit herrlichem Ausblick über die Landschaft. Pool und kleines Stelzenhaus boten viele Möglichkeiten für die Kinder, das Haus ist typisch toskanisch und bot jeden Komfort. Toto hielt sich angenehm zurück, war aber sofort da, wenn eine Frage bestand. Der einzige (kleine) Abzug war die ca. 8 minütige Anfahrt über die serpentinenmässige Privatstrasse zum Haus hoch. Insgesamt sehr zu empfehlen.

After climbing a rather steep short road (over 20% at some parts), the reward is amazing: lovely and cosy house (really old), a spectacular view, a beautiful terrace and more than enough space for children to play (including a charming treehouse). The host is really kind a helpful, and respects privacy. The house was clean and proper. The kitchen is large and everything is in place to make a good meal. The garden is a masterpiece. The swimming pool is quite cold in may, but fair enough. We were pleased that the swimming pool has a closable fence. Overall the place feels safe and secure, also due to the gate down below the road. Great place to visit Tuscany with Lucca in reach, and Florence is not far off. Also a good place to be when you love road cycling or mountainbiking. Also: bring along binoculars, for the view, animals and birds.

Wir hatten 3 unvergessliche Tage bei Toto in seinem Bauernhaus. Es hat alles was man besucht und ist sehr sauber. Die Lage ist einmalig und lädt zum verweilen und spazieren in dfn Olivenhainen ein. Sogar der Pool war Mitte Oktober noch geöffnet und wir konnten ihn trotz tiefer Temperaturen noch nutzen. Der Weg hoch ist bei Weitem nicht so fordernd wie einige Schreiben. Lucca und tolle Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind nur ca 15 min entfernt. Sehr gerne wieder...

Diese Unterkunft ist einfach wärmstens zu empfehlen. Die Lage, dass Haus selbst, die Aussicht so wie auch die Ausstattung sind makellos. Auch Toto und seine Familie sind herausstechend und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne jederzeit wieder dorthin zurück.

't Is moeilijk om iets negatief te vinden. Heel aangenaam huis. Mooie grote kamers, goede bedden, airco in de warmste kamers (zolder). Ruim uitgeruste keuken, ttz. wij waren met acht; je hoeft niet iedere keer af te wassen (er is natuurlijk een vaatwasser). De gastheer is fantastisch! Hij is er als je 'm nodig hebt; geeft hele goede eet-adviezen :-)

Nous avons passé de merveilleuse vacances. La maison est superbe, un vrai coin de paradis. Toto, le propriétaire est disponible, très agréable et accueillant. La ville est superbe. La localisation est impeccable pour visiter la Toscane. Un séjour inoubliable. Merci pour tout ce bonheur

Wir (zwei Erwachsene, zwei Kinder, 6 und 8) haben eine Woche in Totos wunderschönem Haus gebucht und die Zeit dort sehr genossen. Der Ausblick über das Tal ist traumhaft, der Garten (Hanglage) top gepflegt und trotzdem natürlich gewachsen. Man hat die Wahl zwischen zwei Terrassen, eine im Schatten, die andere eher sonnig. Das Haus ist groß und mit allem nötigen Komfort ausgestattet. wir hatten die Wahl zwischen 5 Schlafzimmern und 3 Bädern. Ein kurzer Weg führt vom Haus aus zum Pool (ca 50m) mit Dusche, von diesem hat man ebenfalls eine fantastische Aussicht auf die grünen Hügel und auf Lucca. In der Nacht konnten wir auf diesem Weg ein wahres Glühwürmchen-Feuerwerk beobachten, einfach magisch! Am Pool haben mal zwei Rehe vorbei geschaut und ab und zu hat uns die Katze von Toto, der mit seiner Familie nebenan wohnt, im Garten besucht. Unsere Kinder haben sich sehr gefreut, dass sie Totos brave Hunde streicheln durften, die wir ansonsten aber überhaupt nicht bemerkten. Natürlich ist der Nachteil eines Hauses in den Hügeln der Toskana, dass man diese Hügel irgendwie raufkommen muss. Die Fahrt war ab dem Tor im Tal auf der Privatstrasse zum Haus zwar etwas spannend, aber absolut machbar. Man wird dafür mit einer wirklich stimmigen Unterkunft und einem tollen Urlaubserlebnis belohnt. Ausflugsziele in der Umgebung gibt es auch genug, zB Lucca 15 min, Pisa 30 min und auch jede Menge tolle Lokale, da hilft Toto gerne weiter.

Wir hatten einen tollen Aufenthalt in Totos Haus. Der Empfang war herzlich und alles war sehr unkompliziert. Toto hat sich sehr Mühe gegeben und uns viele Tipps gegeben. Wir waren 2 Familien mit einem Hund und hatten genügend Platz. Vielen Dank für alles!

Wir haben unseren Urlaub dort sehr genossen. Das Anwesen liegt an einem Hang und bietet einen wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Stadt Lucca. Toller Swimming Pool. Alles ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. The house is situated on top of a mountain with the most beautiful view over Lucca an surrounding! We loved the privacy, the beautiful garden and the amazing pool - especially the view from the poolside. The house is clean and very comfortable - we liked the big kitchen but even more the terrace with its view on Lucca! The owner is very friendly and always available to answer questions. We spent amazing holidays in the house and hope to come back very soon!

Ein wunderbarer Ort. Wenn man die schwierige Straße geschafft hat, wird man mit einem traumhaftem Ausblick belohnt. Das Haus ist sehr sauber und gepflegt, es ist alles da, was man braucht und mit sehr viel Liebe gepflegt. Unsere Vermieter Toto und Silvia sind extrem sympathisch. liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit. Unkomplizierte Verständigung auf Englisch. Wahnsinns Pool mit Traum Ausblick! Wir waren mit Kindern und Hund unterwegs. Danke! Wir kommen wieder!

Early October 2019 we spent two weeks holiday in "La Casa di Toto". Travelling with two children, both teenagers, and two small animals we really enjoyed our stay. The beautiful landscape in autumn and the lovely house with its own atmosphere give you a marvellous impression of the "Italian way of life in Tuscany". Also worth mentioning is, that the communication with the house owner was easy, while the description of the accommodation on the web page of "HomeAway" (FeWo) was a good match to what we found on site.

Da der Weg zum Haus keine öffentlich zugängliche Straße ist, muss kaum mit Gegenverkehr gerechnet werden und dadurch ist auch vorsichtiges Fahren und eventuelles Rangieren möglich. Die Anfahrt ist also absolut machbar. Toto ist sehr aufgeschlossen, freundlich, hilfsbereit und zuverlässig und lässt einem so viel ungestörten Raum, wie man haben möchte. Sehr angenehm! Das Haus liegt traumhaft und bietet einen wundervollen Blick in das Tal zur Stadt Lucca und zu den dahinter liegenden Bergen. Wir waren für zwei Wochen in dem Haus und genossen jeden einzelnen Tag. Dort musste man nicht jeden Tag etwas unternehmen, um den Urlaub zu genießen. Das Haus ist sehr großzügig. Alles was man benötigen könnte, ist vorhanden und funktioniert. Im Außenbereich hat man verschiedene Plätze um sich aufzuhalten, die Sicht zu genießen und zu entspannen und man ist an jedem gerne. Natürlich sind klassische sehenswürdige Städte wie Florenz und Pisa gut zu erreichen. Aber gerade auch kleinere Orte tiefer in die nördliche Toscana hinein, lassen mehr den Flair spüren. Und Lucca ist absolut zu empfehlen. Wir verliebten uns in die lebendige Stadt. Parken: Via delle Tagliate/Piazzale Don Franco Baroni - kostenlos und in fünf Gehminuten in der Stadt. Man sollte mit Appetit in die Stadt, da man sofort an Geschäften mit Leckereien vorbei kommt. Fazit: für uns ein sehr schöner und angenehmer Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus und wir empfehlen es absolut weiter! Danke Toto

We stayed at Toto’s house with a group of 6 friends and enjoyed it a lot! We definently recommend the house to other guests. We spent a lot of time at the pool (which is very nice), because we had great weather. Since the house is at the top of a hill, it has a very nice view as well. We were glad that Toto recommended us to rent 2 small cars at Pisa airport instead of 1 big car, since the road to the house is a bit steep and small. Lastly, we would like to thank Toto for all of his great tips!
