Great value for the money. Ideal location away from civilization when you love the outdoors and beautiful hikes or tough

The small but quaint apartment offered breathtaking views of the valley. The kitchenette was a thing of beauty in its design and had all we need for a three night stay. The lady owner and her brother-in-law do speak some English, enough to offer help where needed. Good bed and quick to get hot water. The faucet water here was excellent for drinking. The one and only local restaurant offered a simple but good menu. We also got our favourite dish after ordering it two days ahead. The village has a very safe feel since it is so remote from cities. You may want to get yourself some food on the way up here since there is only the little store/bar/ restaurant in town and that is closed on Wednesday.

We had no issue with it but heads up to those with no excellent mobility. There is a 100+ meter walk form the community parking lot to the building over pretty steep cobblestones and we were on the fourth floor. Needless to say that carrying luggage may be hard on some older or degenerative joints or weaker muscles. Gabrielle helped my spouse with one suitcase though.

I liked everything and just didn't want to leave. This place is fantastic and you will feel you are in a different world. The view is fantastic! The staff (Gabrielli and Paula) are amazing. The breakfast is excellent. I will go back for sure!

Amazing and peaceful

Such a beautiful and authentic villa. The view from the room was overlooking the mountains, absolutely stunning. The staff was friendly and helpful. Good Italian breakfast with possibility to add scrambled eggs. Dinner in the restaurant next door was tasty and not too expensive. Location is about 15 mins drive up the mountains from the nearby town, no other services around but the view and peacefulness of the villa was worth it. Overall very authentic and cozy stay and I would recommend it.

Great view. The rooms were very clean and well maintained. Sillico is a very small town (there's only one restaurant). The parking near the property was free and easy to find. Would strongly recommend for a quiet stay.

Weekend getaway in Garfagnana

The flat is in the little village of Sillico, a hidden gem on top of a moutain, overlooking the Serchio valley. It was super-clean, cozy and with a wonderful view on the Apuane Alps and the valley. Breakfast is delicious, with everything you could ask and more! The hosts are attentive and kind! It was a fabulous stay and we can't wait to come back again!!!

Beautiful enchanting cottage in a lost paradise of Sillico.

Host was a very nice and helpful lady. The cottage is perfect and comfortable and warm. Very spacious, with a wonderful view. This is indeed a lost paradise. The drive up the mountain was a little difficult as we had to wind up the narrow roads right up to the top of the mountain to reach the cottage but the view was worth it. Very romantic and enchanting cottage. Breathtaking beautiful view. Paola is a very nice lady, she would go out of her way to make your stay pleasant and comfortable. Thank you so much for having us Paola. We enjoyed the enchanting stone cottage and your wonderful hospitality so much that we extended our stay at Casa Vacanza Le Muse.

The drive up the mountain and there is only 1 restaurant in town. You have to drive down the mountain to reach the valley at the base of the mountain to buy food or supplies. The wifi is a bit weak.

The location of the property was dramatic, perched high in a delightful hill-top village, with stunning far-reaching views. The breakfast was delicious and was supplied in a seperate neighbouring building and even included some bacon and eggs on request!

We stayed at Le Muse two nights admiring the sensational view down to the valley and the mountains all around, particularly at sunset. The village of Sillico is very quiet and relaxed and a perfect base to visit the Garfagnana region since it is right in the middle. We had a very tasty and rich breakfast in the cozy breakfast room around the corner. The apartment itself was really functional, nothing was missing. Especially I admired the handembroidered linen, something rarely found nowadays! The owners and staff were extremely kind. Since they have 6 apartments ( 2 superior and 4 standard) when booking write or call the owner to specify which one you want to stay in, if you have a special wish. A truly amazing experience in a quiet, well kept and panoramic place.

Eleven minutes up a steep mountain road brings to one of the most authentic, well kept, charming, hilltop towns with an amazing view of the surrounding valley. Not at all touristy; no souvenirs, no segway tours, just real people living real lives in a charming hilltop.

The apartment was both comfortable and well equipped. Our hosts were gracious, super helpful and provided us with a surprisingly good breakfast. We loved the view and the relaxed atmosphere of the place, as well as the close proximity of walking trails.

Just amazing!

Great place! Gorgeous view over Garfagnana area. Very friendly owner. Breakfast in a very cozy room with an authentic kitchen right there. We had a fireplace in our apartment which we used on a rainy day. Just lovely. We'll come back one time... Thanks for everything!

One of the last perfect places in the world

Paola and her husband might not speak much Englisch, but when communicating with your heart, you don't need a lot of words. :-) seriously, not only the accommendation, but whole Sillico is from another world. The panoramic view is breathtaking and if you want to get away from it all, this is the place to come to. Take your dinner at the (only) restaurant in the village.

La gentilezza dei proprietari, il posto magico immerso nella natura, la bellezza degli appartamenti nella loro semplicità, la colazione fantastica preparata dalla signora Paola.

Ci è piaciuto tutto. Se proprio dovessi trovare dei difetti il divano un po scomodo perché era un letto adattato a divano (ma dettaglio di poco conto per il tempo che ci abbiamo passato sopra).
