About this house rental
A raised beach cottage set in the dunes and right on the beach at Smith Point. The house deck is steps from the ocean and about 3 hundred ft. from the beautiful Madaket bay which is great for young children and calm swimming when the ocean gets rough. The cottage is surrounded by Audubon and conservation land that leads a mile and a half to the Point. Great for taking a Jeep onto the beach or walking to fish or just explore. We have seen Bald Eagles, Seals, Whales, Snowy Owls,, Osprey, Hawks and much more of nature. 000 The house has an eat in kitchen open to the living room sitting area. There are three bedrooms and one bath with a shower. There is also an outdoor hot and cold shower on the deck. We have a washer and dryer in the house. The house well water tends to be be salty so we supply multi 5 gallon Poland Spring water containers. The water situation has not been an issue for ourselves or past renters but is something to consider.The raised deck is on two sides of the house with beautiful views of the ocean, beach, bay and sunsets. On the deck is a grill, a teak table that accommodates eight, two Adirondack chairs, a high backed stool and a bench. We also have an outside seating area at the high point in front of our house on our dune which we affectionately refer to as "The Beach Club". It is a great gathering place for sunset cocktails. It consists of outdoor club chairs and low tables.

We had a fantastic stay in Smith’s Point! The house is clean, well equipped and has everything you need but what you really come for is the incredible location. Our kids loved waking up every morning and running straight onto the beach and we loved watching the beautiful Madaket sunsets from our back deck. The property has a group of outdoor chairs and sofas that we enjoyed taking a cocktail out to and watching the sunset. With young kids, being able to walk to Millie’s is a huge plus too!
We’re already looking forward to returning next year!

Always special staying here. The ocean views, sounds of the waves at nighttime and just overall living on the beach for 9 days was fabulous.

Great location, the sound of waves crashing constantly will create a peacefulness and beauty for your entire stay. It’s a beach rental so the inside is not why you should stay here, it’s the fact that you are literally a stones throw to the waterline. A plus location and the inside gives you the basics necessary to have a unique experience, especially on this island where beachfront would typically be priced at $10k plus a week.
