Sirocco Blues Guest House

A wonderfully warm, friendly atmosphere from start to finish. Breakfast was freshly cooked and prepared using only the finest ingredients. Our room was spotlessly clean throughout, and the thoughtful extra touches were absolutely superb — especially the delicious homemade coffee cake and lemon cake! Highly recommended.

There was nothing that could have been improved upon at all. Everything ran smoothly, with absolutely no problems from check-in right through to check-out. You really won’t find better treatment anywhere else.

Loved the quality breakfast including home made options like pancakes / crumpets and bespoke omelettes, not to mention the home made cake left in our room each day. All spotlessly clean. We felt well looked after by the host.

Janie offers a hospitality that feels almost old world, attentive without intrusion and warm without affectation. Her freshly baked cakes on our arrival created a sense of welcome that felt both personal and assured. Breakfast is a small triumph in itself. Prepared with evident pride, it is the sort of morning fare that sets a tone for the day, marvellous in its simplicity, generous in its execution, and served with the calm assurance of someone who understands that good food is, in its own way, a form of care. The rooms, spotless and thoughtfully arranged, speak to Janie’s meticulous eye. Everything is placed with intention, nothing is superfluous. One senses that the guest’s comfort is not an afterthought but the very foundation upon which the house operates. In an age where hospitality is too often reduced to efficiency and transaction, Sirocco Blues stands apart. Even in the brief span of two nights it reveals itself as a guest house with a soul, shaped by its proprietor’s kindness, sustained by her craft, and elevated by the small gestures that transform a stay into an experience. A quietly remarkable place, and one that lingers in the mind long after departure.

Breakfast was lovely and personalised to each of us and we specified the time which was great. Janie is lovely and supplies lovely extras which was unexpected.
