Vista eccezionale, ottima accoglienza, ospitalità da mettere a punto

Vista bellissima e, soggiornando nel periodo estivo, quando alle 17 cessa l'operatività della funivia si resta da soli a godersi lo spettacolo meraviglioso del tramonto sulle montagne e nelle vallate intorno. Cenando in albergo ( unico ristorante aperto dopo le 17) si può godere della vista delle montagne e del tramonto godendosi un panorama davvero unico

Purtroppo durante il periodo estivo la dependance ha accumulato l'umidità invernale e avrebbe avuto bisogno di essere riscaldata per qualche tempo prima di essere occupata. La sensazione di umidità si è parzialmente attenuata durante il soggiorno ma non è mai scomparsa. Inoltre alcune piccole perdite d'acqua nel bagno incrementavano l'umidità in camera. E' probabile che nulla di questo accada nelle stanze ubicate nel corpo centrale della baita, sopra il ristorante.

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Aufenthalt in dieser Berghütte! Die Lage ist einfach traumhaft – umgeben von Natur, mit herrlichem Blick in die Berge und absoluter Ruhe. Der Lift ist in kurzer Gehzeit zu erreichen. Die Hütte selbst ist liebevoll eingerichtet, sehr sauber und bietet alles, was man für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt braucht. Ein ganz besonderes Lob an das Personal: unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit – man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen. Das macht einen Aufenthalt einfach noch schöner! Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!! Das Essen ist auch Klasse! Den Kaiserschmarrn sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen!! Auch das Drumherum passt einfach: tolle Wanderwege direkt vor der Tür, gemütliche Sitzmöglichkeiten draußen, leckeres Frühstück – rundum perfekt! Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder. Danke für diese besondere Auszeit!

Wat een fantastische unieke plek! Een pareltje op de berg! Goede overnachtingplek voor in de zomer. Groot terras en het uitzicht is prachtig! Hele vriendelijke en behulpzame gastvrouw. Heerlijk diner en ontbijt. We hadden een authentieke kamer, heerlijk geslapen!

Perfect top-of-the-mountain stay for winter and summer

Great location (right next to the top of the Hahnenkamm gondola) with stunning views - the terrace is fabulous. Ideal for family or couple, winter ski (you’ll be first on the slopes) or summer hiking or cycling (all the walking and cycling routes start from there). Great dinner and breakfast - high quality hut fare. Very comfortable and clean - service is super friendly. Great value for money.

Extremely beautiful view, directly a slope in front of the house that goes to the famous „Streif“. Very good food and big portions. Staff was very friendly and helped us with any request. Will come back for sure!

There were a lot of noisy guys playing loud apres ski music at breakfast and most of the day. This continued at dinner and until about 2am. to start again at breakfast.

Heaven on Earth!

Was absolutely blown away by my stay at the hocheck! The staff were lovely and very accommodating, the hut has a real homie feel to it with the most incredible view! Highly suggest waking up for a sunrise - one of the nights I was there there was an inversion and it felt like I’d woke up in heaven 🤩. Hands down one of the best places I’ve ever stayed in!

On the mountain. Fantastic setting. Rustic and authentic mountain guesthouse. Ski to the door. Great dining area with local decor and atmosphere. Basic breakfast and dinner included.

As long as you know that it's nothing luxury all is good. Food is simple, rooms are rustic. All good if you expect it to be so. Access to tea and coffee in the afternoon would have been nice.

Life Changing Experience

The location is unbeatable, especially during the Hahnenkamm race, it is absolutely the best place you could be. The food was excellent, dinner includes a soup/salad, main course (changes daily) and dessert. Breakfast is continental, but has everything you need before a day of skiing. The staff and dogs are amazing and you never know who you might meet on top of the Hahnenkamm! Overall, incredible views, relaxed vibes, and nightly music and fun easily makes this the most interesting stay in Kitzbuhel.

Everything was as I expected it for this type of hut, so none of this is meant to be critical, that being said, just make note of a few things: Not much is provided other than a pillows and blanket and you will be sleeping in an open space with other people on a basic cot. Towels are not included and its not exactly easy to find a store that sells them in Kitzbuhel. Getting to town is easy via the Hahnenkammbahn if you need supplies, but during the week you will be stuck on the mountain after 5pm, make sure to keep an eye on the time and check the schedule (runs later on weekends)!

Breakfast was perfect for skierst who ski on their own and need a refuel just before going on the slope. If you're not expecting a five star á là carte breakfast, this is perfect for you.

I liked everything. In general this is the perfect place for solo travelers or groups who like to drink a beer and to be among other young people. Don't recommend for families with kids or for people who expect a fancy five star luxury treatment in Kitzbühel.

What you can expect from the cheapest accommodation

Located perfectly in the slopes, ideal to be the first person on the slopes every morning. You have great views from the property. The owners are very nice and full board is included and dinner surpass our expectations (breakfast was not that great). If you are looking for a hostel vibe this may be your place but if you’re looking for a quite and comfortable stay you may want to look somewhere else. Great place to be social, meet people and drink while being trapped in the top of the mountain after 4pm. Everyone was very social.

You kind of can expect what you will get when booking one of the cheapest accommodations in the area. You will not be able to get there after 16 (or 18 if you beg to the lift people). Rooms are small and crowded and it can get loud at night (but again it’s ideal for people looking for a hostel type of accommodation. Getting there with the luggage can be a hustle as you need to take a gondola and go down an icy slope for 50 meters that for sure will include some funny falls. It’s not a hotel, it’s a hostel. Needs a facelift. Even if it’s one of the least expensive places in the resort it’s still overpriced for what it offers. Dinner is included but drinks are overpriced (a bottle of water was 7€ and beer more expensive than any other place in town).

What an amazing place! My adult son and I flew in from London for a few nights of skiing and had a wonderful time. The huts are clean, warm and tidy, the food is super hearty and the view of the villages twinkling below in the valley after nightfall is breathtaking. In the morning, you wake up, eat a hearty breakfast, strap on your skis and you are already at the top of the Gondola with the legendary Streif piste at your door. Easy to get to for a short trip as well, as the gondola is right across the street from the train station, with regular service to Innsbruck in just over an hour. We will be back soon!

We absolutely loved our stay!!! one of the best places to stay in Kitzbühel. you are right on the mountain so you can be the first on the slopes every day. The hut has a really fun vibe and really great food. It’s a mountain hut so definitely way more rustic but worth it for the location. We had a private room which was worth it in my opinion. One helpful note is that is that the gondola closes at 5pm and that’s the only way up. You can head up after 3pm for free with a valid lift ticket for the next day.

It was great to have breakfast and dinner taken care of each day for one less thing to think about while skiing. Some days were quiet after dinner and then some days were a blast and fun times with the other guests. Very friendly place and easy to meet people if you are traveling solo.
