Lovely Property, super clean and very close to all amenities and great restaurants. Host and his family go above and beyond to make sure your stay is a pleasant one. Very responsive and a very minor issue was dealt with promptly. The lack of an oven for a 2 month stay was a bit of an issue for us but the addition of a BBQ was great. Highly recommend this property for short or long term stays in the beautiful city of Oaxaca.

Our group of 6 enjoyed a 3 night stay ahead of the Day of the Dead festivities. The apartment was perfect for us! It was impeccably clean, well appointed & best of all…the central location was perfect for easy access to markets, food options including the famous street food, character of the city & the colourful traditional events leading up to the end of the month. Our host was also able to help us with shuttles from the airport & other locations.

We loved the space & appreciated the close proximity to the markets, centre of town & all the festivities leading up to Date Of The Dead. Our host was exceptional. The many communications between us were timely, informative & very helpful to our group.

My family and I had the pleasure of staying at Elesvan's beautiful home. It was a perfect place to stay for our month in Oaxaca. I traveled with my kids and my niece, and the house definitely contributed to our amazing month in Oaxaca. It is within walking distance to everything. We spent every day walking somewhere new, stopped by the market in the mornings for fresh bread and fruits/vegetables, and enjoyed the many close restaurants, especially Cecilia and Lucy's quesadillas and other amazing foods. The home is beautifully decorated and clean and provides plenty of space for privacy. It is very safe and secure and is on a quiet private street. The host, Elesvan, and his mom brought water, were extremely responsive and kind, and helped us with everything we needed, including transportation (for a very reasonable fee) to other excursions outside of the city limits and to the airport. This house is amazing and would be great for small groups or families. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. I already miss it!! Thank you to the amazing host for everything!!

Luis is a super host -from picking us up from the airport to responding within minutes to any questions or concerns. The house is wonderful, with a rooftop, courtyard and comfortable rooms and well stocked kitchen. Located down a quiet side street the bedrooms are relatively soundproof -something that matters in Oaxaca City since there can be a lot of festivals and other street noise to contend with. Tried to book it for my next trip, but I am clearly not the only person to enjoy the house -comfortable walking distance to any amenity in the center of Oaxaca. Wonderful

From the moment we walked in the door to La Casa de el Papa to the moment we reluctantly left, the landlord had made sure we would lack for nothing -always fresh ground coffee, bottles of water, toiletries, and even bouquets of fresh flowers

This is a beautifully kept and highly recommended property in a traditional Mexican style, with an internal courtyard and separate rooms for kitchen, living room, and bedrooms. The kitchen is very well appointed and the furnishings throughout the home are new. Elesvan is a very responsive host and was always very helpful. Would definitely go back. There is room for a car, but it is challenging to navigate the very narrow alley to get into the driveway. The hot water was not as reliable as it could have been. The beds are very firm. Walking distance to many restaurants and cites, but still relatively quiet and peaceful. Nice view from the rooftop, where you can also hang clothes to dry if you wish to handwash.

Nice clean 4 bedroom home and recently Remodeled. This home is convenient and walking distance to many attractions. It is also a short 30 -45 min drive to Mitla, Hierva El Agua and El Tule. The only downside is that their was no ac and the pillows were very uncomfortable. Other than that the house was great and Esvan was very nice and incredibly helpful. I would definitely stay there again with no hesitation.

This house is in the perfect location ~ close to everything (3 minute walk to Santo Domingo, 8 minute walk to the Zocalo) yet set away from the hustle and bustle down a quiet street/walkway. The house itself is clean and gorgeous and has all the needed amenities (including readily available potable water, which was a really nice perk). There were six of us staying at the house for a week, and we were able to find our own space when needed. Four bedrooms, five bathrooms, a lovely kitchen, a nice living room space, and a covered parking area (best served as a place to mingle) was perfect for our group needs in Oaxaca. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with ~ would stay here again without hesitation! Thank you!
