Excellent, had a great time. Great for sightseeing.

Lovely comfortable cottage, ideal for exploring the Dales and surrounding areas.

Slightly further away from Bedale than we had expected and no local facilities. However not a major issue

Perfect tranquil hideaway

We loved everything about the The Barn - picture postcard tranqil location, spacious, clean and with a lovely mezzanine looking out onto the veranda and outside seating area. Full of character but modern and with beautiful bedrooms especially the master with a roll bath. The hosts were very welcoming and happy for us to explore the beautiful garden. Perfect for a friends reunion and there was plenty to do and explore within easy reach of this very scenic area. Would not hesitate to recommend the property and hope to visit again.

No locks on the bathroom or toilet. Would benefit from a four slice toaster

Simply exceptional, easy and comfortable

Due to a personal family situation the hosts were extremely accommodating, so you can trust them completely. I have stayed twice before and liley to return.

Photos do not show location on the road with no garden and next door in close proximity, shame!

The traditional oak frame building and decor was very good as was the quality of the furnishings & fittings.

No name on the building, so hard to find! Key lock box not working, however met us with key after 20mins. driving around. No use of outside facilities, not aware of how to access. Step out of groundfloor bedroom, I fell in the night going to downstairs toilet, heavily bruising myself against bedroom door. Spoilt the stay. No door on en-suit upstairs, downstais toilet, no lock and door would not close. No off road parking! I parked my Bentley outside on the road, I would not have booked if they had been honest.

it’s a lovely barn conversion very comfortable the owners were there next door but never bothered us and were very helpful .

I think the only thing I would say is , we had our two grandchildren with us age 2 and 5 but there was no plastic cups or plates . maybe could do with some .

Beautifully decorated spacious barn in a stunning setting. The owners made us feel so welcome leaving us homemade scones and a bottle of Prosecco on our arrival. They were also able to accommodate a later departure time which was really appreciated. We had a great weekend with the family and couldn't have chosen a better place- thank you!

Stunning and beautiful.

Owners are lovely . They had written a lovely welcome message and got each of my children an Easter egg. They also hid some little bunnies to find around the cottage. They left us some cookies, the best ive ever tasted. The barn was spotless, the beds were very comfortable. Top quality quilts and pillows, duck down so warm and cosy. Underfloor heating warmed the barn fast and kept us warm hours after turning turning it off. We found Netflix on the TV so helped entertain the children each evening. The garden was beautiful, the children enjoyed the swing and seeing the fish in the pond.

A perfect place for the family to gather for Christmas. Room to cook and seat us all at the table, and plenty of relaxation spaces for TV watching and game playing. A lovely warm home from home. Thank you for the welcome prosecco too.

A few extra coat hangers would have been useful, and we couldn't find a potato peeler in the otherwise superbly equipped kitchen.

Outstanding and spacious property

Very spacious and well-kept house in a small village not far north of Leeds. Very well equipped with everything working with, and overall a very comfortable place. I'd happily stay again when in the area. One of the best places I've stayed in.

Essentially not really any back yard, but unless you have a particular need for one that's a fairly minor thing.

A real find - would definitely return to this beautiful house.

beautifully decorated and everything you could need at the property, very clean too, even had a lovely welcome note to us on the chalk board when we arrived. The owner had kindly left some chocolate snowmen hiding around the property for my little boy to find which he loved and was a very kind gesture. Would 100% return.
