Owl lodge

We had such a lovely stay at owl lodge. The place was cozy, clean, and beautifully maintained. It had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing getaway. The surroundings were peaceful with a little pond, making it the perfect escape from the busy life. The host was friendly, responsive, and made sure we felt welcome throughout our stay. We would definitely love to come back! ❤️

Beautiful picturesque weekend away in a cosy lodge, lovely hosts and a great start to the new year!

We had a lovely stay in the pheasant lodge, it was beautifully clean, comfortable and cosy and set in a lovely woodland setting. The bbq hut was perfect to cook a steak on our first night and really added to our experience!

The only problem we found was she shower didn’t drain particularly well so we did flood the bathroom and had to use our towels to clean up the water!

10/10 this place is exceptional.

This was our second visit back to the Deer lodge and again like our first, it was simply amazing. It is now our favorite place, beautiful grounds for a nice walk, great location to visit Bedale and other surrounding villages in the area as only a 10 minute drive. Sean who owns the lodges alongside his Wife are exceptional hosts who always go above and beyond for guests. A lovely festive touch to the lodges this season and an extra special treat of homemade mince pies waiting for us. Booking out the BBQ hut is also highly recommended, this was perfect last week with the colder nights. It is a beautiful cosy hut, it also would be an amazing area if staying with friends and family for somewhere to gather in the evenings around a lovely hot fire. 10/10 as always, try this place out, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Perfect Birthday Getaway

Amazing little getaway, little cabin was perfect! It was my partner's birthday whilst we were there and they had a banner ready for us. We used the BBQ hut and that was absolutely fantastic!

I wish I could live here!

The setting in the trees is beautiful, and the accommodation is stunning - super well equipped, comfortable, spacious, luxurious, just perfect. I loved being able to purchase the basket of wood on an evening so I could sit by the campfire under the stars, so peaceful. The little fairylit snug is such a wonderful extra. Loads of fab interesting places to visit nearby and the owners were really lovely and friendly. I can't wait to return!

A great place to just slow down and unwind from your normal busy life

Our stay at the Pheasant lodge was outstanding from start to finish. The location was absolutely stunning and so peaceful, a great place to relax and recharge. The lodge itself was exactly like the photos, absolutely beautiful and Sean was extremely welcoming and a great host. We are 100% going to return to High Parks for another peaceful getaway

We stayed in the pheasant lodge it was fabulous beautiful decorated with lovely little touches fresh flowers milk in the fridge immaculately clean fire pit out side which we lit and sat around outside bbq with gas

There isnt much not to like 🥰 The Lodge is clean, very well equipped and so cosy. The bed is comfortable and the whole room is exactly as it looks in the images online. The little kitchenette is perfect for what you need for a few days. We were provided with milk, teas, coffees, sugar etc and the coffee pods for the coffee machine are a nice touch. The BBQ is an amazing extra and easy to use. TV and dvd player in the room. A cute lantern to take outside with you on an evening too. We paid for the fire wood and kindling which is a small cost. Sean is so lovely and welcoming and a fantastic host who clearly takes pride in this little piece of heaven. We loved it so much we booked up for a longer stay in December when we hadn't even fell asleep on our first night. Thank you and see you again soon.

Lovely bit of land rabbits roaming and benches too enjoy the view open fire by you’re accommodation very relaxing. Sean was a great host helpful and lovely to chat with gave us some recommendations for restaurants and trails that did not disappoint very thankful for making our stay the best it could be

The lodge was nicely decorated and felt comfortable and welcoming . There was tea and coffee with cutlery provided and also outside was your own picnic bench and open fire with which you had the option to buy fire wood at £10 a basket . There was also your own gas bbq and an indoor bbq to hire . The surroundings where peaceful and tranquil .

First night was very windy and noisy and woke up to a tree branch just missing my car . Other than that there was nothing to dislike.

A truly peaceful place.

A great place to relax,with comfortable accommodation, outdoor cooking facilities, a great fire pit, enjoy nature and get away from a busy lifestyle. We had a thoroughly enjoyable break. Would be happy to recommend High Parks. It's so peaceful! Sean is very friendly and at the end of a text if needed. It's like luxury camping.

My partner and I recently enjoyed the most unforgettable break at a lodge nestled in the heart of Yorkshire, High park lodge. and we genuinely couldn’t have asked for a more perfect escape. From the moment we arrived at High Park Lodge, we were completely blown away. The lodge greeted us with a sense of calm and seclusion that was nothing short of magical. . The lodge itself was immaculate — beautifully decorated with thoughtful touches throughout. It felt instantly welcoming, like a true home-away-from-home. Waking up to the rabbits darting through the grass or one of the most delightful surprises was finding little frogs sitting just outside the lodge door, as if they were welcoming us into their world. It was surreal to be so close to such a variety of wildlife, all going about their day right on our doorstep. it was like something out of a dream. Being surrounded by such beauty each day was a rare and grounding experience What really made our stay special was the feeling of being completely away from it all, yet with every comfort imaginable. Whether we were strolling through the nearby woods, exploring the local villages, or simply unwinding together around the fire pit everything felt so easy and joyful. We left feeling recharged, closer than ever, and already planning our return. If you’re looking for a romantic retreat, a peaceful recharge, or just some time to reconnect with nature and each other, this lodge is absolute perfection. Quirky little lodge away from everything. Peace and quiet was what we wanted and that is what we got. Inside the cabin was tastefully designed. Bed super comfy, shower room perfect, small fridge crockery and cutlery for two. Outside Gas barbecue, wooden picnic table and fire pit for each of the 3 cabins. Sean the owner was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. We will definitely visit again 😁

amazing few days in a beautiful place

the owner was lovely and friendly, the birthday banner and card was a lovely touch, we wanted afew days of just peace and that's what we got, we went on a beautiful walk with waterfalls and ate at the local pub with great food and staff, definitely a place we will stay again 😀

my only issue was I had a stiff neck each morning but that's my fault for not taking my own pillow like I usually do
