Courtyard Cottage Free Parking

It's quiet and spacious. Kitchen was very good, had everything you need. The bedroom had two large wardrobes and plenty of drawer space. Lounge also had lots of empty drawers. It was well furnished with a comfy sofa and chairs, good dining table. Nothing was cramped. And our reason for booking was the free parking, always a plus when staying in a town. I'm pretty sure it was about the cheapest property in the area, so it was good value.

Courtyard Cottage was in a small complex including a recovery centre. We could sit and watch the addicts coming for their methadone all day and evening. This could be a bit off putting if you were of a nervous disposition. The taxis actually pull up outside the living room window. The private veranda is only a small patch of gravel and weeds with no garden furniture at all. Photo included. The whole apartment was unwelcoming due to its lack of home comforts,; no throws, cushions, only tiny pictures on large walls, no tourist information anywhere. No books, games, nothing to help with passing a wet day, of which there were many. (That's not a complaint, it's in the Highlands.) The bed was soooo uncomfortable that I spent two sleepless nights in pain before I bought a memory foam topper. When we put that in place we found two cheaper toppers already on the old mattress. I complained to the owner, who said it wasn't old, he remembered replacing it seven or eight years ago! However, he did reimburse the money for the topper. Although the owner wasn't the friendliest guy I've ever dealt with, he did react quickly to any problems, and that's a definite plus point. The apartment is a good half hours walk from the city centre. This is generally a good apartment which needs a bit of TLC.

Loved everything, perfect hub to come home to after driving out in the Highlands all day. Super spacious and comfortable, everything was totally spotless! Felt safe, secure and private and this place had everything you'd need (washer, dryer, full kitchen etc.) Would definitely book again!

Wifi stopped working on the first and hard to get service because of the brick and insulation. Hosts are not very responsive so you're on your own.

The property was large and spacious with everything needed for a pleasant stay. There was a very large lounge with three piece and a table and chairs. The TV had Netflix and Prime. There was fast speed wi-fi everywhere. The bedroom and bathroom were also roomy and there was a storage cupboard in the hall with all the space needed. The apartment was quite light with large windows throughout. It was part of a courtyard for a larger building which had a private entrance and plenty of free car-parking. The site was about a mile away from the amenities of Inverness.

The site location was next to an NHS Recovery Centre just across the road. This didn't provide any difficulties or noise but there were quite a few people and staff parking very close by and walking around to the centre which seemed to be opened late hours. Before coming to the accomodation I twice contacted the hosts about an early check in but they did not respond to either email so having some guaranteed contact would be useful in case of issues. The building being an old one, the rooms took a while to heat up and could be quite chilly at times although an excellent heating system was provided. Given this, addsitional bedding should have been made available for cold nights but there was nothing.

Quiet location Within walking distance of the city centre

Hard to find - on driving in the numbers listed on the sign didn't include this address.. Had to wander the whole site to find the front door. Couches are worn out and very uncomfortable. Mattress on bed worn, can feel the springs.
