Clean, quiet, comfortable

Kept money blocked on my card (value the room) for 9 days, even after checkout and settlement of the bill. Had to contact them twice via email for fully releasing the amount, after 9 days!! Poorly cooked steak and quality of dinner. Very expensive restaurant

Its ok

The staff namely Barbara and Filippe . When i checked in, this staff told me that my room is ready but she cannot let me me have my room unless i have a membership card in this hotel . She let me wait for the actual time and the earliest will be @2 pm that time was only 12:30 . She was very unfriendly and rude in a certain way when she talks to you . The aupervisor Filippe was even worse . Instead of apologizing he told me that members of this hotel is a priority . So if im not a member of this hotel i cannot get a good service? And if my room is ready @12:30 pm , you want me to wait till 15:00 to check me in and let me wait in the lobby knowing all your guests are tired , and for me and my friend we just finishned a tour of 20 days around Northern Europe . Is this a policy of Marriot hotels ??? I will give this hotel a bad score . To top that , these reception people did not even mention the time change (DST ) . Bad Hotel !

Close to airport

The hotel is super clean and located quite close to the city, breakfast is okay, but a bit pricey.

Upon arrival, there was only one desk for checking open, so only one person was registering arriving guests, and there was a line of six people. For some reason, the application that they refer to in messages when you make a room reservation simply doesn't work for online check-in/check-out. What's also unfortunate is that they basically do not answer to your messages on the Booking.com app.

Good location and shuttle on time.

The staff helped us with finding another hotel, because the Renaissance was over booked.

The hotel was overbooked and even though the restaurant was mostly empty, they wouldn't let me have dinner. The check-in desk booked us a taxi but then didn't pay for it. They should have paid for it because they overbooked and didn't let Booking.com know they were full. Ask for receipts. Would be nice to have a refund.

Clean room and helpful staff. Easy to park.

The location is not so close to the airport, but they do offer a free shuttle bus. However, the schedule of the shuttle bus is not so ideal for us. There are two breaks during the day, which lasts almost two hours.

The airport shuttle is very convenient and the hotel is only a 7 min trip to/from the airport. (Please note that the shuttle does not run between 10.30 and 11.45 am, and between 7.30 and 8.45 pm). The room is very comfortable and spacious and so is the bathroom. There is a restaurant on site which is also very convenient. There are many good options on offer for breakfast.

The fire alarm went off at 1 am on my first night there which made me jump out of bed and get ready to evacuate, but apparently there was no fire. I guess this was a good outcome and it is not the hotel's fault that the alarm went off, but the personnel should have been proactive in communicating with guests and offering an explanation and apology. There was no communication whatsoever.

The reception staff were very helpful

Room service was so slow I cancelled my order 2 hours after I made it.

I liked the location to the airport. The gentleman in the bar area was friendly in assisting in ordering our dinner.

It was expensive for one night. No hairdryers in the room, the mirrors on the bar area of the room were covered in dust. I walked in and just wanted food and the girl at the restaurant said they were closed, it was 9:40. Then I checked in and was told the restaurant was open.

this hotel is great place for stopover. There is a park nearby and our family even managed a break there for a walk. This hotel is accessible with airport shuttle. The reception staff are truly warm team. This hotel is next to canal, sometimes you can see boat passing. This is my first choice again, if I stop over in Amsterdam again. They rent out bicycles too if you want to explore the park.

second time that we had visited this Hotel. we booked a big room with 2 king size beds, the staff had done the booking for us during our first stay in the hotel 3 weeks before. If we checked in, no room according our requests available. after long discussion, we had checked 3 different rooms (hotel provided for us one room with two single bed, one room with one king size bed and one big room with one king size bed) and fighting with the reception staff, the hotel provided for us 2 rooms, each one with king size bed, but not closed to each other. The reception team is a desaster, arrogant and with bad behaviour, they not accept the own mistakes, always try to give the bad feeling to the guests. breakfast: we was with 2 childrens and 2 adults in the hotel, we booked 4 breakfasts, but if we like to get the breakfast check in, they told us breakfast is only for 3 persons booked. total nonsense, hotel also had done here mistakes

Breakfast is good.

We’re still sitting here waiting for the shuttle 30 minutes after the scheduled departure. There are signs up apologizing for “traffic delays” but this is an airport delay and your customers need a reliable schedule. Revise your schedule!

We stayed at The Renaissance Schiphol because we had a flight leaving the next day. The hotel was lovely. The windows did an excellent job keeping noise out. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for repacking for our trip back to the States. The shower in the bathroom was excellent. Breakfast was also excellent; you could even get eggs to order. We would surely stay here again.

There is a free shuttle to and from the airport. There is a period of time during the morning and the afternoon when there is a pause (between 10:15-11:45 and 19:15-20:45). Unfortunately for us, we needed the shuttle during those times. Not a deal breaker.

The shuttle was a good bonus and very convenient.

The restaurant meals were quite pricy

Nice new and comfortable hotel with spacious rooms and spacious bathroom. The breakfast buffet is quite large with continental breakfast, freshly made eggs and all kinds of meat, salmon and cheese.

It was quite busy in this weekend and there was not enough staff, all staff seemed really stressed and there were long queues. Parking is a bit pricy, €17,50 for one day as hotel guest.

We went to a festival within walking distance, so this was perfect. Good value for money as well (we booked months ahead and got the free genius breakfast)

Most staff did not speak Dutch, which is fine, but quite a few (cleaning staff) did not even speak a word of English, except ‘no English’

Everything was really good

Good location, only 10 min by shuttle to Schiphol. Room was comfortably large and the breakfast spread was sufficient for a vegetarian who needed lactose free milk. Hotel was at the edge of Amsterdamse Bos which is lovely.

First floor room faced the highway.

Very basic amenities, bed was not a Marriott bed. Only two pillows. Not really comfortable.

Large room and clean

The staff was unresponsive. Shuttle driver never said hello and didn’t help with luggage. He was grumpy! Front desk staff said they would send up coffee and cream for the next morning and that never happened.

Restaurant food is very basic. But enjoyed my piazza!

The property is nice and clean. The service was fabulous. The transportation from Schiphol to the location is interesting in that the shuttle needs to cross a draw bridge - which may be open and transport stalls.

The room was too warm and in order for the AC to function one has to close the windows. Very stuffy and the temperature took many hours to drop. That part made the room uncomfortable.

Enjoyed our last night in Amsterdam at this lovely hotel-drinks on the patio and then a nice dinner in the restaurant. Convenient shuttle to the airport.

Comfortable bed, fairly close to airport, food in restaurant was excellent. Staff in restaurant excellent and very friendly.

One particular female checkin staff member doesn’t listen very well. I wanted to settle up my account and then just key box drop. Instead she just charged a protein bar to my credit card. So I still had to checkout when leaving. Same staff member couldn’t tell me the day before where the shuttle dropped off at the airport. In the end I just ordered an uber. It’s ok to give people a shuttle schedule, but you still need to know where it drops off as there are numerous terminals

Airport shuttle was great. Breakfast was varied and delicious.

Toilet paper was the texture of packing paper!

The room and bathroom were both spacious. The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was very clean.

Very bad food

I liked breakfast, room was spacious enough for one night. I liked the room service and shuttle service to the airport.

I choose this hotel as I expected more luxury. There ware cheaper options in the neighbourhood. The bed was squeaky, the towels ware not fluffy or new, the bathroom wasn't really very clean.

Extremely convenient location, only 10 - 15 minutes away from the Schiphol Airport either by the hotel shuttle bus (yes, it comes with free shuttle bus every half an hour), or by Uber. Staff was rather efficient.

I would have a higher expectation if it is a Renaissance hotel when it comes to toiletries & in-room napkins - could be of better quality
