About this villa rental
Villa del Cielo with caminetto is a villa with private pool in the heart of Tuscany. It is just 5/6 km from the historic center of Siena. It is an original 17th century Chapel finely restored and adapted to a unique villa. Isolated and quiet has stunning views over the Tuscan countryside. Excellent base for excursions to Florence or the charming medieval town of San Gimignano, Volterra, Pienza but also relaxing diving in baths of hot sulphurous water of Bagni Vignoni, Rapolano Terme.
Villa del Cielo with fireplace is composed of two separable parts: the part of the chapel that can comfortably accommodate 8 people and a dependace connected by a corridor (without the need to exit) that can accommodate 6 people.
The part of the chapel is about 180 m2 and consists of a ground floor which has a large lounge charming and fascinating (derived from the main chapel) with three sofas and an armchair. There is a kitchen with breakfast bar, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven and microwave. In the living room there is a dining area for 8-10 people. There are two bedrooms with queen-size beds. The two rooms share a bathroom with bath (with handheld shower head). On the first floor there is a bedroom with double bed and a bedroom with two single beds, both with air conditioning, and two bathrooms with shower.
The annex also called the 'Caminetto' has a living room with three sofas and a fireplace. The small kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, four burner gas stove, large refrigerator, dishwasher, and a small pantry. The dining table seats up to 12 people. There is a large glazed veranda and a lounge. There are two double rooms with air conditioning and a small single room. The rooms share two bathrooms with shower.
There is also a laundry area outside.

The Villa is fantastic! I rented it for five weeks. Close friends came and went. There was plenty of space and living areas and we all had a fabulous time cooking, drinking, laughing and dancing together. Whilst a car is required, the Villa is centrally located in the region and we did many fantastic day trips to surrounding towns. A taxi to Siena was about 15 euros...shared between two or three, we found this reasonable. A few (including taxi drivers) struggled to find the Villa. Don't trust GPS...it sends you the wrong way.
Andrea, the Villa manager, was a delight and we all loved him. He came every day, cleaned the huge, magnificent pool and happily chatted to us and assisted with any problems and arrangements. He picked fresh zucchini growing in the garden and left them for us on the kitchen bench.
For some, the Villa may be a little tired, definitely rustic, the garden a little out of control but for us the charm of the place, the beauty of the chapel and the surrounding country was exceptional. I had dreamed of a holiday in Tuscany for a decent period of time and Villa Del Cielo fulfilled that dream.
I had read that a stereo and cd player would be available but I may have had that information wrong as different booking sites offered different amenities. We took music with us so our impromptu dance sessions at the Villa and pool were brilliant. Siena....well, Siena.. what can I say. I loved you the first time I saw you and got to know you better this time. Don't miss the Wednesday markets!
So, in summary...5 out of 5 for the Villa and Andrea. Would I rent it again? Yes. Would I recommend it to others? Yes.

This Villa is a Dream. Their is something magical around every corner. Very very comfortable with lots of history. As if the house is not enough, the vistas are wonderful also. Andrea was available to help direct us at a moments notice and he can cook for you also!! Can't wait to visit again!!
