About this villa rental
In the beautiful countryside just outside Siena (3 km), surrounded by olive groves, this ancient villa with 12 beds offers spacious interiors and large outdoor spaces with private swimming pool, all in a quiet and very panoramic position over the city.
The Villa is immersed in the green of the countryside, but is only approx. 3 km from Siena (less as the crow flies) which appears just "in front", fascinating at all hours of the day.
Ground floor: large entrance, double living room, elegant dining room with exit to the terrace and the rose garden, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, 2 bathrooms, study / single room;
1st floor: suite with view of Siena and private bathroom, large living room, 2 double bedrooms, 2 twin bedrooms, 1 single bedroom, 2 spacious bathrooms with tub / shower.
Area in front of gravel, shaded by a large lime tree and with a panoramic view of Siena, terrace, Italian rose garden, swimming pool surrounded by hedges (at 20 m). A small private chapel can be used for blessings and weddings. Former lemon house for events.
We are available for information on Siena and its surroundings, tips for tours and activities, restaurant and event reservations; organization of private dinners on request.
It is advisable to have a car, but at approx. 500 m along a country road, there is a bus stop with connections to the historic center of Siena.
An ideal place to relax while enjoying a unique view. In the adjacent property, the owners themselves manage the B&B Podere La Strega.

I booked Letizia's amazing Villa for a week-long birthday celebration and we loved every minute of our time in the Tuscan sun! It was great to be able to relax by the pool in the peace of the countryside amongst the olive groves while still being only a short walk away from Siena, we just wish we could have stayed for longer!

I have always loved the beautiful Tuscan city of Siena, Italy. My husband wanted to give me a special birthday, so he rented the villa overlooking the city and invited our family to join us.
My family responded by coming and being part of my birthday celebration . There were 10 of us and if you asked them about our stay at La Strega they would all tell you it was magical, perfect, beautiful, and a vacation they will never forget. Like all families they all want and expect different things from their time away from important but stressful careers. We have traveled together more than most families and although they enjoyed the trips, there was always something they would change. Two weeks at La Strega and there was never even a whisper of discontent.
The villa is large enough for everyone to retreat to their own private space and also spaces to join together and be a family. Our hosts, Letizia and Corsino were very accommodating and answered our every question and filled our every request. We asked for and they provided breakfast, an amazing birthday dinner, a wine tasting and a private chef to teach us several Italian courses. Those experiences as well as the villa, and the property, were priceless.
Would I return to La Strega? Absolutely! In the meantime I have amazing memories of the beautiful villa and all it offers. Don't hesitate to treat yourself to this rental.

My husband and I spent the month of May 2024 at the Villa with some extended family members. We enjoyed our stay so much and Letizia is an excellent hostess and resource just next door. Our numbers varied over the month with twelve being the most at any one time. We never felt crowded as there are two main living areas, one on each floor, and the eat-in kitchen and outdoor areas. You're never quite sure if the venue will live up to expectations when booking, but we were instantly charmed by the decor and the setting overlooking Siena. We ate family meals on the patio overlooking the rose garden and enjoyed sitting under the tree in the patio in the evenings watching the lights of Siena and in the mornings especially when the hot air balloons were flying over the city. The villa was our base as we explored Siena and the rest of Tuscany. If you're looking for a true Italian Villa with spacious bedrooms and bathrooms while maintaining the Old World Charm, this is your place. Thank you, Letizia, and we look forward to staying with you again.
