    Never ever agin.
Bell staff and waiting staff friendly and attentive. Gym and spa are great and juice bar by gym is very good. Lobby is very welcoming - very much UAE standards.
Firstly - the place is packed with families with small kids. Don't get me wrong, I love kids (my wife and I have four, now all young adults). But I would guess every other room here has a young family in - great for the young families, not great for middle aged couples like us that went away to relax. On that basis alone I'd never go back here - our fault really, should have expected it with an all inclusive (although parents, when life guards are constantly telling your children to behave, take some responsibility). Secondly - food had been good for most of the week, very good in some restaurants. But after eating in Turquoise for lunch on our last day, and then D'olivio for dinner, my wife fell very ill with what we now know to be norovirus. We didn't leave the hotel all week so she clearly picked it up there, and most likely in one of the restaurants. It was the first time we had been to D'olivio so that's our prime candidate. She was so bad we had to extend for an extra night as she couldn't fly - the hotel charged us AED6100 - that's GBP1,200! Aside from arranging a doctor to see her they did not seem bothered in the slightest that she may have food poisoning or have contracted something in the hotel. Lastly - the rooms are okay, not great. This was our 5th visit to the UAE and easily the least comfortable in terms of room, bed, space in the room - and we had a deluxe room. Rotana next door is 100 times better (and didn't give us norovirus).

    The location in Saadiyat
During our stay, a serious security incident occurred that completely overshadowed the experience. At approximately 3:00 AM, an intoxicated guest entered our room through the balcony while my family and children were sleeping. The individual opened our balcony door and was inside the room before leaving and jumping to another balcony once confronted. This alone represents a major failure in guest safety. However, what was even more disappointing was the hotel’s management response: • The incident was reported immediately during the night, yet no decisive action was taken at the time and the individual remained in the hotel until check-out the next morning. • Throughout the following day, no senior manager contacted us, despite multiple requests to speak directly with the General Manager. • We were never asked how we were, nor asked to provide a detailed account of what happened. • The hotel failed to provide any formal incident report, even after repeated written requests. • The only gesture offered was a late check-out and complimentary lunch, which did not reflect the seriousness of an unauthorized room intrusion at night. The hotel’s position was that the incident was solely caused by another guest, with no acknowledgment of any security or procedural failure, which is concerning given how easily room access occurred. For a resort of this standard and price level, both guest safety and crisis management fell well below expectations. The lack of accountability, documentation, and direct engagement from hotel management was extremely disappointing. This stay did not meet the basic standards of security and care one would expect, especially when travelling with family.

A Fabulous Relaxing stay at Rixos Premium Saadiyat Hotel
We celebrated our Ruby wedding anniversary at this fabulous hotel and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. On our arrival we were treated so kindly and were with surprised and delighted to find a beautifully decorated bedroom in honour of our Ruby Wedding Anniversary. What a a very creative and beautiful start to our holiday! Everyone from the reception staff, the staff at all the bars, restaurants, including the a la carte ones, the Anjana spa, vitamin bar, gym, entertainment bars, pool and beach areas, and even the gentleman serving Arabic coffee all day in the lobby were all friendly, healthful, caring, and welcoming . The food and all the restaurants was excellent, with such a delightful variety of cuisine and spread even at breakfast. Drinks were abundant from coffees, masala chai to mocktails, cocktails, and excellent wine and champagne. We got to know a lot of the regular staff serving Maureen, Michelle , Asha, Amir,Dhanaraj,Motsian,Renata, and so many more.To be honest, every one of the stuff were always kind and helpful and very caring at all times. It was a truly superb stay. We will return again with all our family .

    Bad experience
Pool area was nice, although the towels need to be renewed as they are rather old and thin.
After walking down a rather smelly corridor we entered our room to be greeted by a strong chemical/solvent smell, it actually made the inside of my nose sting and eyes water. The girl showing us the room tried to play it down and suggested we open the doors for a while, but not for too long as it would cause condensation! We asked about another room but she never came back to us. After a couple of days we couldn't stand the damp musty smell that had appeared any longer so we moved into another room. This room was equally as smelly, it was just too much and we decided to come home. The bedding felt damp, so did our clothes. We couldn't even sit outside on our terrace as the smell of drains was so bad & greenery was overgrown! We chose this room so that we could sit outside after our daughter had gone to bed, so instead we just had to stay in the smelly room! The food was mediocre and to top it off there was only 1 choice of Rose wine on the whole "exclusive' wine menu, it was very poor quality and charged at over 400AED! When checking out we explained why we were leaving early, the hotel said they were very sorry and offered us another room, we didn't want this. They also offered to keep our remaining stay as a credit, although we won't be going back. When I unpacked a realised that I was going to have to get all the clothes we didn't wear dry cleaned or washed just to get rid of the terrible damp smell. I had to leave our cases and bags outside to 'air' the smell away. We could smell it in our car all the way home. When we went to reception to complain some of the staff standing around were very rude and sniggered whilst speaking in another language so it made us feel very uncomfortable. Overall, not a pleasant experience. Extremely disappointing for a 57,000AED holiday.
