Morfeo Suite

Very good location (close to the Coloseum, good neighborhood), equipped with lots of amenities like washing machine, shampoo, tea, cooking oil, aluminum foil, etc. We didn't see anyone else during our stay, so it felt private as it is a shared kitchen. Doors and elevators felt like we were in a vintage movie.

No soap holder in the shower, the staff walked in to our room with their shoes on, noisy air conditioner.

The person who greeted me was friendly and helpful. The location is very close to the Coliseum and Roman Forum, and to the main station. The room was clean, and cool enough if you could tolerate the noise of the air conditioner.

The air conditioner went through periods of making unhappy-sounding grinding noises, and was never very quiet, which was quite disturbing. I suggested to the owner there was a problem with it and they told me it was just "a big machine". When I offered to send recordings my message was ignored, and no further response given during my stay. I also have to say I find it a little strange when a place provides access to a washing machine but expects guests to buy their own detergent. It wouldn't be a great expense to them to provide some (given they already provide shampoo, washing up liquid etc.), and it is very inconvenient when you are travelling to have to buy a whole packet when you only have to do one or two washes.
