Huge, peaceful, cozy and inviting.

Great size, perfect for 5 of us (3 adults and 2 teenagers sharing). Really liked the peaceful surroundings and animals co inhabiting outside. Frank (the peacock) took an interest and would frequently be found at the window or door. Nice set up with all utensils and equipment to live home away from home. Constantly warm and cozy and plenty of firewood too- this wasn’t needed as well heated but it was nice to out on in the evening. Amazing peaceful surroundings and good, helpful host. We used this as a base for Glenshee skiing which was about 45 minutes away. Nearest village for food was about 15 minutes (though we did get to a chippy in 10 and a lovely farm shop cafe in 5)

It was a shame the water cleaning system wasn’t working as we used bottled water (which the host supplied). Tap water did look discoloured when filling up a sink/bathing but we debated whether this impacted the overall experience and decided that the positives overwhelmingly outweighed this one negative

A truly relaxing stay!

We had the most relaxing and memorable stay at Castleview @ Newton Steading Farm. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this place was something special. The house itself was absolutely beautiful; spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything we could possibly need. Every little detail had been thought of. We were lucky with the weather and it made such a difference being able to sit outside, take in the stunning countryside views. The friendly animals were a real highlight, especially the goats who were so much fun to watch and interact with. They really added to the charm of the stay and were a hit with everyone. A huge thank you to Anthony and Caroline, who were wonderful hosts; warm, welcoming, and always on hand if we needed anything. They’ve created a truly special place and we would love to return one day. Highly recommend Castleview to anyone looking for a peaceful countryside escape.

Excellent property, beautiful surroundings and very relaxing!

The property is stunning. Lots of modern high end appliances and the beds were the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. The kids loved the farm animals onsite especially the goats and Siberian cat. Really appreciated the welcome goodies too! Anthony was always on hand for any queries we had and we felt so relaxed there, it was a lovely break away.

I really happy with everything .cottage was spotless and was with high technology. I really enjoy it with my husband and my friends. Antony and Caroline were nice people and I will see them again for summer time. Thanks so much You are 5 star. See you again soon

Relaxing, peaceful and fabulous!

Amazing property with all the mod cons and very well appointed and extremely comfortable! Jacuzzi bath, en-suite bedrooms, wood burner, fabulous open kitchen/dining with both AGA and very modern cooking facilities. A relaxing and peaceful stay in a rural setting surrounded by hens, peacocks, goats, cows and ponies. Great for families! Very helpful and welcoming owners.

Luxurious living. Lived, loved and laughed 🥰🤣🤣

Everything was AMAZING. Huge living areas. Beautiful furnishings and space to enjoy all of the living areas. Games provided. WiFi & Netflix. Beautiful kitchen was spacious and fully equipped. Enough wood to keep a dozen fires going!! Can’t say enough nice things about the Steading. Anthony was brilliant and very helpful. Cannot fault it.

Well I can only say the wine cooler was dodgy. But the fridge seemed to do the same job so absolutely no problem at all. 😉

Best self-catering accommodation I’ve ever stayed in.

Have nothing to complain about - idyllic location but close enough drive to shops/restaurants/things to do. Property was very well equipped, spacious and surrounded by lots of farm animals which we loved. Surprisingly, the animals didn’t wake us up in the mornings which was our initial worry. All the animals were very friendly, great company and entertainment. Beds were really comfy, an excellent well-equipped kitchen for cooking and lots of space for entertainment and to just relax. It was ideal that each room had their own personal en suite with also a communal toilet downstairs. The communication with Anthony and Caroline was excellent - replied really fast and were very accommodating. They also gave us many delicious eggs from their chicken coup, which went down a treat every morning for breakfast. Amazing value for money. Will definitely be back to stay!

Surround sound speakers didn’t work but we brought our own speakers anyway so wasn’t really a problem.

First things first, Anthony took in our Tesco delivery and packed it away for us as we got caught in traffic on way, which he didn’t have to but we are grateful and thrilled he did. The property is out of this world , amazing views and a great size. It was a difference from being in the city , so peaceful and calm. Just what we needed.

Exceptional

Everything! We loved the location and the surroundings of the property. Extremely picturesque and very relaxing. The house was equipped with everything you need and more. No shortage of kitchen utensils and cooking aids, plenty of cleaning products including dishwashing tablets towels in bathrooms and toiletries at every sink. There is not enough space to list the products provided! I can't think of anything this house is missing. Therre is so much space in this house that it caters for 6 guests comfortably. We spent so much time as a family in the kitchen, dining area becauae the layout and space was so good Members of our party were visiting from Canada and were fascinated with the beauty of the area and the central location which provided so many travelling opportunities within approx 60 mins drive. Glamis Castle, Scone Palace, St Andrews , Pitlochry, Dunkeld , Dundee etc. A fantastic base. We all loved the roaming animals especially the goats. Great fun. We also apppreciated the time that Antony took to ensure we had everything we needed and that we were comfortable. Thank you very much and we hope to be back soon.

absolutely incredible house, exceeded all expectation s Anthony and Caroline have thought of every little thing, definitely our favourite place we’ve stayed in Scotland. Anthony was so welcoming and friendly, loved the fact he took the time to come have a chat with us and fuss over our dog Sadie. we cannot wait to book up again

The house was absolutely stunning and Anthony was so helpful during our visit, even setting up the fire for us on our first night. The fresh eggs in the morning along with the bread, butter and milk in the fridge was a lovely surprise. I will definitely return.

The perfect home from home

The photographs of this beautiful home do not do it justice. Anthony had lit a fire in the main living area, popped Christmas songs on, and had lovely lights in a Christmas tree for our arrival. It was a 'wow' moment that I will never forget. Every room was immaculate, we were able to cook Christmas Dinner easily with the abundance of kitchen utensils with no stress. We even recieved a Christmas present of extra wood for the fire on Christmas day. I could not recommend this place enough, we will definitely be back as it was just such a wonderful relaxing stay.

Photos don't do justice to this beautiful farmhouse. Stunning accommodation. Fire and candles were lit when we arrived, music softly playing in background, fresh bread, free range eggs, butter, juice and milk in the fridge. Really can't ask for more!. Anthony came over and explained where to find everything. This kind of accommodation should be in a completely different category. It is unfair to even compare it with anything else on this site. Be prepared though, you need to cook for yourself as there are no restaurants close by if you want to enjoy a glass or 2 of wine with your meal, but rest assured, the kitchen is absolutely amazing!!!

Everything!. Anthony was very helpful and we loved our visits from goats Rosie and Summer.

We had no issues, the only thing we could suggest is a hot tub, it would have made an amazing weekend even more amazing.
