The location is perfect

The property is right in the old town but not in a noisy street. We loved the high ceiling, comfortable layout, good TV and kitchen, and very helpful host.
The property has 3 flights of stairs to get to, and parking is outside the old town. No big deal for us as we are healthy and active. Mattress was a little too soft but that is personal preference. Nothing negative really.

Communication is provided via whatsapp for lockbox instructions and good response time to any questions including suggestions for things to do in Zadar. The location of the apartment is as good as you can get in the heart of the old town, with everything within walking distance. Definitely the highlight of the stay. The bed mattress was comfortable enough and the shower was pretty decent. AC worked well. Security is good due to location and access via 2 doors. For a short stay in Zadar I would still recommend due to the location, especially if you can get a good price. For longer stays I would look elsewhere personally.
There were a few things that annoyed us during our stay, the soundproofing in the apartment is shocking. We stayed for 4 nights and could clearly make out the nationalities of the guests in the apartment next to us coming and going over the days. The downstairs toilet in the apartment has a window that is basically a peepshow for people stood in the hallway entrance to the 3 apartments. We had to chase things like wifi information which should be freely available as standard. I think because we stayed longer than the average stay this is why the reasons above brought the overall rating down. We also picked up on the finishing touches that are lacking, lights next to the bed aren't great, floor under the bed was filthy with dust etc.
