Room size would work for 2 people but they put 4 in. My Room door doesn’t have a lock. Every other door has. The main hostel entrance door is electric and sometimes doesn’t look automatically, so any random person can enter from the street. And it’s a crowded area for sure. Never seen a staff member a day in my 4 nights there. One Washing machine was broken and dryer took way longer than it was supposed to. No iron. Towels are small face towel size. Bed didn’t had proper sheets I think.

Easy check in. Fridge might need cleaning but I think it’s because there was a lot of guests that’s why food was everywhere. Very convenient area

Amazing location, great vlue for money, the bathroom does sometimes have a funny smell but not a deal breaker at all

My stay at Zen Seoul was okay overall—not exceptional, but not bad either. It served its purpose, though there are a few things future guests should keep in mind. Be careful when booking, as cancellations may only be accepted up to 5 days before your scheduled stay, so be sure of your plans before confirming. Personally, I hope the cancellation policy could be a bit more flexible. Five days feels like a long notice period, and there may still be opportunities to fill the room with new bookings 48–72 hours before check-in. If you're planning to extend your stay, it's better to request the change as early as possible instead of sending multiple follow-ups. The hostel can also be a bit difficult to find on your first visit. From Jongno 3-ga Station Exit 4, walk toward the orange building, then turn left, followed by a right turn. If you're still unsure, don't hesitate to ask for directions. Lastly, I hope the management can improve the overall cleanliness of the property, as it would make the stay much more comfortable. Overall, it's a decent budget accommodation with room for improvement, and I hope these tips help future guests have a smoother experience.
