Jongno KS Stay

Great location - few minutes easy walk to a train station. Neighbourhood is fantastic. I mostly walked as it's 15-20 mins walk to the palaces, temples etc. Loads of great cafes and restaurants close by. The room was bigger than I expected with great clothes storage, and a washing machine in the bathroom (which I didn't use, but it looked very new). There's a communal dryer available (paid). Free tea and coffee in the kitchen, plus 1000won (~AUD$1) ramen.

These aren't complaints, more just things to be aware of. There is no lift, so if you're on the top floor (as I was) it's quite a few stairs with bags. And a few floors up and down to the kitchen if you need to refill water or want a cup of tea. They have small hand-sized towels as the usual body towels - this didn't bother me at all, but looking at other reviews, it has annoyed some. If that's a deal breaker, consider bringing your own! My room smelled a bit of ramen, presumably because there's nowhere to eat the ramen, people take it to their room. The room was immaculately clean, but hard to shift that smell.

Location is ideal for exploring Seoul. If you are on a budget you won’t get better than this place. Great to have a washing machine, microwave and fridge freezer.

Lots of stairs!! Bed was a little hard and bathroom layout is weird.
