    The Gallivant is a wonderful place to stay in New York, especially for its price and central location. The staff was excellent and I felt welcomed for my whole stay. Rooms were clean, stocked and well arranged. The only issue is that housekeeping does knock on the door too early in the morning. Other than that, I would highly recommend the Gallivant to anyone visiting New York.

    I prepaid, but when they asked for my credit card (I thought for "resort fee") they tried to charge over $300 for the room again. The room itself was very basic and most outlets didn't work. AC smelled funny.
