Would have given this hotel a solid 9/10 (great room and breakfast) if it weren’t for the massive parking rip-off - we arrived with our own car and parked in the hotel compound (not guarded) - upon checkout the lady (reception only manned at breakfast time, we arrived 7pm) told me- 15 EUR for parking! Me: what? Lady - yes that’s clearly stated in the messages on Agoda - later i checked, THIS is the message they sent - and, don’t bother, nobody picks up the phone or checks the WhatsApp, they were unreachable. Message:

There is a public parking space 5 minutes away from the hotel, it is called Blücherplatz.
Parking for 24 hours costs there approx. 5 Euro.
The hotel has 6 parking spaces located directly at the hotel, these are only available upon request under the following number: *** or per Whats App: ***.
So I naively assumed the parking would be included if I request - no they are NOT! 15 eur nowhere mentioned! Clear rip-off strategy!
Check in is a bit like a computer game, following instructions they send you one-by-one on Agoda - unlock the main door with code. Go to keyboard and open with a different code. Go out on the street again, figure out what „opposite side“ means (no signs), find your room in a courtyard 30 meters away from the actual hotel. Room was great, very clean, so was the breakfast. Location is in a bit of a rough neighborhood, gambling places, drinking holes and not the cleanest, but felt safe and 15 minutes walking to the city center.
The 2 stars for the staff goes to the owner/management, for the parking rip-off, not the 2 ladies running the reception and breakfast, they were nice

- after 11am there is no reception thus we cannot store our luggage at reception
