About this villa rental
Eleftheria Villa is a new-built villa, located in the coastal village of Maleme, 350m from the beach. The beautiful beach road of Maleme – ideal for walks in late afternoon, when the sun goes down – starts 800m away from the villa. There are many taverns and bars, where you can seat by the sea. West Crete is the side of the island where some of the most renowned beaches of Greece are found; Falassarna, Elafonisi, Paleochora. As you drive along the mountain roads you will meet many small traditional taverns with homemade cretan products.
The outdoor area of the villa is small but well cared… The pool area is surrounded by high trees offering privacy to the swimmers, but at the same time the pool gets sun all day long. There is a barbecue next to the pool, an outdoor area in the shade and sun loungers around the pool. There is a parking space in the fenced property.
The villa has 4 bedrooms and sleeps up to 8 persons. The big open room on the ground floor combines the sitting room, the dining room and the kitchen. There are also one bedroom and a bathroom at this floor. Three bedrooms and a common bathroom are found on the first floor. Two bedrooms have balconies, while on bedroom has ensuite wc. There are outdoor sets at both balconies.

There are very nice landlords, a great house and everything is very clean and nicely furnished. The only thing that bothers me is the car wash place. It‘s sometimes very loud.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 day stay at Eleftheria Villa. We were family of 6 adults and 1 teen and all us thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The Villa looks exactly as shown on the photos and the pool is larger than it appears on the photos. There was more than enough room for all of us both inside and outside the villa and plenty of sun beds/ seating. The Villa is located in a private spot and there was a sea view from both bedroom balconies and the pool. All bedrooms have air con.
The beach is only a 5-10 minute walk from the villa.
We spent some evenings eating in (there is a mini supermarket for essentials a 2-3 minute walk away and a larger supermarket approximately 10-15 minutes walk away) during our stay and others eating out at local restaurants (we would recommend the black lantern, the Wave restaurant and Menta for eating out). Maleme itself is quite smalll with a few local restaurants all within a 10-20 minute walk from the bill.
Although Maleme is quite quiet, the buses are easy and cheap to use to travel into nearby Chania, Platanias and Agias Marina ad they run from early in the morning until late at night. You can also book coach excursions and trips on little fun train.
The owners of the villa are lovely and come to clean the villa and pool every 3-4 days. We will definitely book this villa again in the future!
If you book, the little ginger cat that comes to visit is very friendly (he stays outside). Please look after him 😊.
