About this villa rental
Villa "Gea" (the name of a Greek mythological Godess) is located in Maleme village, only 17km away from the town of Chania and not too far away from the world's famous beaches of Elafonisi, Balos and Falasarna. It is built in nature as it's surrounded by olive trees and orange trees and has a perfect view to the sea. You can access the beach on foot as it's only 150m away.Close to the villa you can find: A.T.M. , super market, restaurants, cafes, pharmacy, a doctor's practice and a bus stop.
The villa is a ground floor detached house. The villa provides a fully equipped kitchen with a dish wash machine, a fridge, a microwave oven, an oven, a coffee machine and all the kitchen utensils. The living room is very spacious and has a magnificent view to the sea. Apart from the living room, on the groundfloor there are: A bedroom with a wardrobe and two single beds , that can turn into double, a bedroom with a double bed and a wardrobe,the masterbedroom , a big bathroom and a small W.C. There are, also, four A.Cs: one in every single bedroom and one in the living room.
On the loft there is a bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe and an A.C., a small bathroom and one more room which is used as a study.
During the winter months, villa "Gea" provides central heating,five A.Cs and a fireplace.
Guests will have access to all the rooms of the villa, the garage and the garden.

Wonderful experience at Evangelia’s villa in Maleme, Crete. Evangelia & her son were extremely welcoming & helpful. They were there to greet us and walk us through the villa, even when we pushed our arrival time back a couple hours with short notice. Evangelia had great & fast communication through VRBO before & during our trip, as well as helpful PDF’s with house info & recommendations for the area.
We brought our 2 rental cars & there was parking for them at the villa. We had 7 adults & a 1.5 year old baby & we fit comfortably within the 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. The house was very clean throughout & the air conditioning made July days very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with many essentials & Evangelia was very kind to have left baked goods, fruit, jams, wine, raki, water & more. The back patio area & yard were beautiful, well kept & relaxing—you can see the water from there too. Beach, restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery nearby, we esp liked “Gyros Maleme Grill Restaurant” minutes away walk.
Although we didn’t go to the beach that you can see from the house (other than to walk along it in the evening) this villa was no more than 30 min drive to all that Chania offers & about an hour or so from some of the most popular & unique beaches in Crete like Falassarna, Balos, and Elafonissi. “Biolea” olive oil estate was a 25 min drive & had a nice tour & a very scenic location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Evangelia’s villa & would highly recommend!
