About this villa rental
Villa "Gea" (the name of a Greek mythological Godess) is located in Maleme village, only 17km away from the town of Chania and not too far away from the world's famous beaches of Elafonisi, Balos and Falasarna. It is built in nature as it's surrounded by olive trees and orange trees and has a perfect view to the sea. You can access the beach on foot as it's only 150m away.Close to the villa you can find: A.T.M. , super market, restaurants, cafes, pharmacy, a doctor's practice and a bus stop.
The villa is a ground floor detached house. The villa provides a fully equipped kitchen with a dish wash machine, a fridge, a microwave oven, an oven, a coffee machine and all the kitchen utensils. The living room is very spacious and has a magnificent view to the sea. Apart from the living room, on the groundfloor there are: A bedroom with a wardrobe and two single beds , that can turn into double, a bedroom with a double bed and a wardrobe,the masterbedroom , a big bathroom and a small W.C. There are, also, four A.Cs: one in every single bedroom and one in the living room.
On the loft there is a bedroom with a double bed, a wardrobe and an A.C., a small bathroom and one more room which is used as a study.
During the winter months, villa "Gea" provides central heating,five A.Cs and a fireplace.
Guests will have access to all the rooms of the villa, the garage and the garden.
According to Greek legislation, guests staying in accommodation properties larger than 80 sq. m. are required to pay an accommodation tax of €15 per night from March 1st to October 31st. From November 1st to the end of February, the accommodation tax is €4 per night.

Wonderful experience at Evangelia’s villa in Maleme, Crete. Evangelia & her son were extremely welcoming & helpful. They were there to greet us and walk us through the villa, even when we pushed our arrival time back a couple hours with short notice. Evangelia had great & fast communication through VRBO before & during our trip, as well as helpful PDF’s with house info & recommendations for the area.
We brought our 2 rental cars & there was parking for them at the villa. We had 7 adults & a 1.5 year old baby & we fit comfortably within the 4 bedrooms & 3 bathrooms. The house was very clean throughout & the air conditioning made July days very comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with many essentials & Evangelia was very kind to have left baked goods, fruit, jams, wine, raki, water & more. The back patio area & yard were beautiful, well kept & relaxing—you can see the water from there too. Beach, restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery nearby, we esp liked “Gyros Maleme Grill Restaurant” minutes away walk.
Although we didn’t go to the beach that you can see from the house (other than to walk along it in the evening) this villa was no more than 30 min drive to all that Chania offers & about an hour or so from some of the most popular & unique beaches in Crete like Falassarna, Balos, and Elafonissi. “Biolea” olive oil estate was a 25 min drive & had a nice tour & a very scenic location.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Evangelia’s villa & would highly recommend!

Ich habe mich mit meiner Familie (zeitweise 8 Personen in 3 Generationen) 4 Wochen an diesem wunderbaren Ort aufgehalten. Die Villa liegt strandnah, ohne beeinträchtigende Nachbarschaft. Maleme ist noch keine Tourismushochburg und dementspechend ruhig und entspannend. Man findet hier alles , was man braucht. Evagelia und Tochter Katharina sind sehr freundliche und geduldige Gastgeberinnen mit außergewöhnlicher Herzlichkeit, dabei in keiner Weise aufdringlich. Sie sind für Fragen und Probleme jeglicher Art per What's-App, Mail oder Telefon immer anspechbar, z.B. erfolgte flankierende Hilfe für einen fehlgeleiteten Koffer, der dann nach einigen Tagen nachgeliefert wurde. Wir wurden verwöhnt mit einem vorbereiteten Abendessen/ Käse-Pie und Lebensmittel für den Anfang im Kühlschrank (das erste Frühstück war gesichert :-) ). Highlight war das von Evagelia gekochte Mahl mit griechischen Spezialitäten für uns, das wir alle sehr genossen haben, ein Hoch auf Evagelias Kochkünste! Danke für diese großherzige Gastfreundschaft, wir kommen gerne mal wieder!

Nous avons passé 2 semaines dans la maison d Evangelia, qui est secondée pour tout ce dont nous avions besoin, par leur fille Katerina parlant parfaitement Anglais. Notre séjour à été excellent ! Choyés dès notre arrivée par des petites attentions que nous avons beaucoup appréciés. Ma famille et moi-même avons passé de belles vacances sous le soleil de Maleme dans cette maison jolie, confortable, et très bien entretenue. Des fleurs, des arbres, 2 belles terrasses, une douche extérieure pour le retour de plage qui se trouve à 50m en face. Rien.ne.manque pour passer d agreables moments. Un grand merci à cette famille généreuse et fort sympathique pour les produits locaux, le Boureki, et chaque preuve de leur hospitalité exceptionnelle. Ce fût mon 4e séjour en Crête et chaque fois j ai de nouvelles raisons d aimer y revenir. Je recommande chaleureusement la Villa Gea d Evangelia, Katerina et Michele, jardinier discret de fin d après-midi. Vacanciers exigeants, vous passerez à coup sûr des jours heureux dans cette belle maison de gens formidables.

Wir hatten das Glück mit drei Generationen einen schönen Urlaub in der großzügigen, ausgezeichnet gelegenen Villa Gea verbringen zu können. Die Ausstattung entsprach genau der Beschreibung. Jeden Tag konnten wir bei ausgezeichnetemen Wetter die herrliche Terrasse mit fantastischem Meerblick genießen. Ganz besonders möchten wir uns für den herzlichen Empfang durch die Vermieterin Evangelia und ihreTochter bedanken. Sie hat uns bei der Ankunft mit einem gefüllten Kühlschrank und selbst gebackenem Kuchen verwöhnt. Auch bei den weiteren Treffen brachte sie immer Leckereien für alle mit und gab uns zahlreiche Tipps für das Erkunden der Umgebung.
Wir werden Villa Gea auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen.
