L'a Dacha

Good quality for a very low price. Basic, but comfortable. My room was big enough for 1 person, with a cupboard and plug next to the bed, a chair and clothes hangers. Shared bathroom with big, warm shower and small sink in the shower, in the kitchen and in the garden next to the toilets. Great little garden with apple and walnut trees, with a cosy covered seating area. Very practical shared kitchen. The owner (Svetlana I think) was very responsive and gave good info via WhatsApp before my arrival. At the guesthouse, I only met her son, who is not very talkative, but is very helpful. He found us a driver to Skazka canyon (3000 som return per car) and even brought me to the village bus stop at 6 am and stayed there until the bus arrived. Thank you for a great stay

Nothing negative, but good to know: 1. In Kyrgyzstan most guesthouses don't seem to have a clear sign. Here you have to look for number 9 on a green gate, as shown in the picture (but in reality the name 'La Dacha' is not visible anywhere) 2. As mentioned before, the toilets are in the back of the garden and the "French" type, on the ground, but in ceramics and very clean. If you have to go at night a bit inconvenient if it's cold or raining, but there's a paved path with great lights 3. The guesthouse is centrally located in Tamga village, within walking distance of several shops and a good, cheap restaurant. But the beach and main road, where most buses stop, is about 2 km from the guesthouse (only 1 bus leaving from the village center very early in the morning)

The peaceful garden, the friendly and helpful staff. And good price and ability to use the kitchen. The son speaks great English and is helpful in giving tips eg the bus to the beach from the sanitorium. The cute cats roaming the garden.

Unfortunately the toilet was a fair walk through the garden and at times paper had not been restocked. It is also important to bear in mind it is two shared squatting toilets. There is also one shower between seven at times. I booked a double bed and they only supplied linen for one side of the bed which felt cheap. Also bear in mind this place does not have a washing machine for guests. They also do not supply drinking water which was a first for me. Even yurt camps in remote mountains were supplying drinking water…
