We enjoyed our stay and happy that it was near ample transportation

Good location, Great Price and super nice and helpful hosts

The hosts were super nice and breakfast served on time.

A few things could have been better. 1. The place was windy but the securing mechanism for the windows was not adequate leading to window closing frequently and disrupting our sleep sometimes. We noticed that only one small window could be opened. The rest were stuck closed. This sometimes affected the ventilation when the wind was not blowing. Additionally we had cope with the defective WC for a few days ( slightly inconvenient but not a big deal)

The location is good, close to the shops and reasonable driving distance to attractions.

1.sharing kitchen with other guests,the furniture was soo bad and old. Our bed mattress was old and kept on making noise,the pots were burning food and at night cocroaches will be all over the microwave.the sad part is that our bedding was not changed for 9 days we spent there.it was bad and I wouldn’t recommend upstairs rooms for any guests especially for long stay.

Tina and Susan are lovely hosts and accomodation is very clean and feels very homely. Room is spacious and the bed very comfortable. Great for us to have a secure parking space at the back of the property. If you want you can use the shared living room and kitchen. Overall very pleasant stay!

The fact that it’s a shared bathroom and the fact that booking tome at at 7 pm I had to pay 150 extra for landing late i feel they should disclose at booking.com. The place is very old old renovations is needed

I loved the antique homey feeling that this place gave me! Very convenient location. Even though it was close to the main road, we were not bothered. This place has a lot of potential!

Centrally located and easy to find.

Limitation on water. As there were other people staying there the vast majority of water had already been used before we checked in. So only my husband was able to shower on Saturday night and I couldn't shower or use the toilet before bed .

DEFINITELY STAY HERE

I loved how central the location was to food places , like KFC , Pedro's etc which made it easier for me as a visitor to survive . I also enjoyed the staff , I was welcomed with joy and was comfortable throughout my whole stay . The place was clean , I had access to everything I needed in terms of wifi , TV , cutlery.

I liked the host,she is friendly.

In the property description it says you get a private bathroom but there is one bathroom for all the guests to share. The property also has quite a lot of things that need attention. They are either broken or just old like the microwave and kettle, broken handles,etc. The wall heater is not sufficient for cold weather. A mirror in the room would also be nice.

Great experience

Perfect place if you wanna feels like home. Self catered with all apliences you need and a high street just arround the corner with many shops, markets and street food. I didnt go out at night time for obvious reasons, but during the day i felt safe. Tina was amazing as well as susy. Recommend if you wanna be 10 minutes on uber from the city at an amazing price and dont need anything luxuorius.

The room was very warm, but is it was winter i didnt mind at all. But i recon it could be a problem if you are coming in summer. There s a fan and a window, but not sure if it will be enough for summer

A home away from home! 5 stars!

My stay at Happy Home was absolutely lovely. Happy Home is a home away from home. I love the squeaky wooden floor, the little furnace , the excellent and fast WiFi . The hosts Tina , Tasha and Susan are absolutely lovely and they felt like aunties to me . The place is close to many shops and key locations in Cape Town , and a MyCiTi bus station is a foot away. I will visit again!

It was in a very busy area. Lots of noise. Place was very hot. Tv was not working. Staff was unfriendly. You cannot check in after 7pm. Not conducive for people travelling from far.

Communication, the receptionist was very unfriendly and did not communicate times and restrictions. She was not available to take calls and help the guest.

its nicely located with easy access to public and private transport as well as easy access to touristy spots. the kitchen is well stocked. the people we shared with were quiet but clean and friendly. the hostess is super sweet and amazing .

there is no clothing storage in room 3. the rack thats there is hanging on one nail for each side. it fell apart as soon as we put something on it and my husband had to fix it.

Affordable and safe stay in Woodstock, Cape Town

Our family, comprised of 8 individuals, including 2 young children, recently enjoyed a delightful two-night stay at Happy Home Woodstock. Booking three rooms, we were pleasantly surprised by the affordability and the excellent facilities provided for the price. Despite the vintage character of the building, it is maintained quite well, offering a comfortable atmosphere. Located in the historic suburb of Woodstock, the guesthouse's proximity to the Waterfront, Table Mountain, and other tourist attractions added significant value to our stay. The host's warm welcome and consistent communication throughout our visit created a personal and inviting experience. Despite our assumption that she is a busy working woman, her professionalism in managing the accommodation was evident. Happy Home Woodstock provides a charming and convenient retreat for families, blending affordability, safety, and proximity to key attractions. Highly recommended for a memorable getaway.

We found certain gate locks to be tricky with the provided keys, but we were able to handle it. Overall, everything else is in good order.

Good Value for Short Stay If You Dont Mind The Area and its not hot weather

Spacious. Clean. There was no problem with on-street parking spots.

There is no air conditioning. There is only one small fan for the entire house; it's hot. The house next door is very noisy from 5pm to 11 pm The area is questionable. There are vagrants around. Many keys. They could be color-coded to help you get in and out faster.
