We feel so lucky to have found this gem of a place to stay. The house has extraordinary character, the room was excellent, the location and the views superb, with Lex and Carolyn being very welcoming and hospitable hosts. Breakfast was great and the perfect start to each morning. If you were exploring Hadrian's wall this would be a brilliant base and although we didn't get a chance to do that, Lex explained all the bests places to go to another couple who were staying. We especially liked their dogs who were great fun and very friendly.

In keeping with the excellent reviews, this was an excellent place to stay while attending a wedding. Tranquil and beautiful gardens and room facilities and excellent breakfast
