This is a lovely place to stay including the location, however the food at the restaurant was not at the standard of what was being charged. The food was not of great quality but the staff were all lovely friendly and approachable. We would stay here again but not dine at the restaurant.

Staff were really nice & friendly. The main part of the hotel has been updated & looks really nice. The food was exceptional & all homemade . The room we stayed in was comfortable & the bed & pillows sufficient. The decor wasn’t great it looked like it had been thrown up & the hallway to the room smelled foisty. Personally for me I found it very difficult to move around the hotel as I have mobility issues, it’s definitely not mobility friendly, it’s very uneven & there are lots of stairs everywhere , if we we were to stay again I would definitely get intouch with them directly to make sure there was a room that was accessible.We stayed there because I was going into Hexham hospital the following morning and wanted to be nearby. It took just 10mins to get there. The scenery is absolutely stunning and will be a sun trap in the summer as it’s near enough south facing. All in all I would definitely recommend. Thank you for making our stay comfortable
