Stayed over New Year and decided to stay and extra night as we felt so comfortable as staff and food were good.
Room was a little small for a 'premium ' but adequate. The bar/ lounge is great, lovely fires and a lot of residents brought their dog, the staff engaged with all👍👍. Look forward to seeing how they upgrade the hotel after the January shutdown. We will be back.

What a beautiful place to stay very scenic next to the river, staff very helpful, knowledgeable and kind. A great place to stay during my hadrians wall walk

I booked a superior room which was very comfortable and clean. We overlooked the river and had a double aspect room (317).
Staff were all very friendly and went out of their way to see that we were happy.
