The hospitality was exceptional. The host went out of his way to prepare a meal in the evening and also offered a lift back along the dangerous road to reach the Hadrian’s wall path. Very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The house is an ideal position on the Hadrian’s wall path.

Auf all meinen Reisen in den letzten Jahren wurde ich noch nie vom Gastgeber mit meinem Namen begrüsst. Ich war sehr überrascht, da wir schon am Vortag dort vorbeifuhren, um zu schauen, wo wir morgen wohnen werden.
Darren ist der perfekte Gastgeber. Sogar unser Frühstückstisch war für uns reserviert. Auf dem Zimmer wurden wir mit Namen Willkommen geheissen. Solche persönliche Aufmerksamkeit habe ich selten erlebt.

Darren was very friendly and trusting. He left all the ingredients for us to prepare our own breakfast as he had to go out. We were happy to do that.
It would have been lively to have our own bathroom near our bedroom, but we knew when we booked that this was not possible.
