The Angel surpassed our expectations, proving very comfortable accommodation and delicious food.
The room looked recently updated ad fabulously refurbished with new attractive furniture and comfortable large double bed plus amazing new bathroom with powerful shower. We stayed with a group of 12 friends, all of whom were most impressed by the hotel. They highly complemented the excellent staff, and especially the chef for the delicious dinner and cooked breakfasts. Ideal as a venue for parties and group functions. The function buffet was generously plentiful and with wide selection of delicious food. The cheese soufflé was the stuff of legends! Highly recommended.
Needed a box of tissues in the room please.

Disappointing stay
The staff were friendly in particular Mikey at breakfast service.
Room 2. The carpet is old and in poor state of repair , the bed uncomfortable and the room not up to standard.the lounge area no longer inviting as it had been on previous stays. There were no comfy sofas and chairs and look cold and uninviting. I ordered scrambled eggs for breakfast and it was served on greasy fried bread.

Not my first visit and will use again
Hotel staff were all extremely welcoming and helpful. Had family of six guests for breakfast Boxing Day morning who between them selected a range of the cooked breakfast options on the menu and thought the breakfast excellent.
Not enough shelf space in room, and could do with folding stool for placing case on in room 8.
