Conveniently located in Ballater with everything close at hand. Warm, friendly host and hostess, the latter a mine of information about the local area, where to eat etc

Lovely breakfast, wtih.GF options. Comfy beds and central location. Place was clean overall.
Outside property unappealing due to weeds, giving a general air of untidiness.

Excellent location, which we knew as we'd stayed before. Breakfasts were great, just enough food and no waste, and the hosts were helpful and friendly with some good hints and tips about the local area.
We booked a twin room at the time due to availability but ended up being the only guests in. It would have been nice to have the option to move into a double room if there had been cancellations but it wasnt really an issue, just a suggestion.
