Ontvangst door oude dame die alles voor je over heeft Mooie kamers (alleen geen airco helaas) en prive badkamer Origineel Frans ontbijt in de tuin (wordt gratis aangeboden) Tegenover la Villa Madie

Wat lastig vindbaar (navigeer op adres, niet op locatie van Maps)

Madame Mamouska was very welcoming and friendly. She greeted us on arrival and helped us park the car, offered to collect breakfast for us every day and was always on hand if we needed anything. The location of her house is perfect, as it’s only a 5 min walk to the beach and 10 mins to the town.

It would have been nice to have air conditioning as it was very hot during our stay

Genevieve, she was delightful, fresh croissants, baguette, preserves and coffee served every day in wonderful quirky crockery in the garden. The house is quite old and full of character and across the road is a bay with a stony beach and a great bar with food . A nice place to stay if you accept it's quirkyness. Cassis is also a fantastic town, clean full of bars and restaurants, with a small port. Very smart. If you stay there I suggest you take a translator device, Genevieve doesn't speak English so it would help greatly.

I think it should be pointed out that the terrace is shared with the other room. The other thing is that guests coming onto the terrace could see directly into our bedroom, potentially a privacy issue. It wasn't subsequently a problem for us as the other couple were really nice and we got on really well with them but might not always be the case. A tiny thing but there were no plugs in the bathroom washbowls.
