About this cabin rental
BEAUTIFUL log cabin nestled in a 3 acre woods on a road that we named All Wheel Drive, because it is our own private road. This is one big sand box. Our cabin is Air Conditioned, has 1 bedroom with a king bed, a loft with a 2 queen sized beds and the walk out basement has one King and one Queen sized bed and a Queen over full bunk bed. On the main floor, a Sectional couch that also pulls out for a bed. Kitchen is fully equipped. 1 Bathroom and 1 outdoor shower. Large fire pit and a gas grill. A sweet front porch and plenty of room to park dunes machines, stone accents on the walk out basement and foundation of the cabin are stunning . Picnic tables outdoors. All the furniture has the log cabin theme. You can be uptown in one mile and enjoy all the action. Bumper cars, go-karts, mini golf, dune rides boating, restaurants and more. The entrance of the Dunes is 2 miles away, Just go on the scenic road around Silver Lake. Enjoy Lake Michigan on the dunes or if you go the other way from the cabin you can get to Lake Michigan in a few miles where you can park and go for the day. Then you can relax in the quiet cabin at days end. We have built this ourselves and have taken extraordinary steps to make this a beautiful place to vacation. This cabin is smoke free and also Pet free. If you want a truly relaxing vacation check this one out. Please no crazy Parties or Alcohol.. We want to keep this place beautiful!!!!

Wonderful stay! We didn't want to leave! Cozy and secluded which was perfect for our family with little kids. We could let the kids run around outside early morning while making breakfast and not worry about waking any neighbors up. We appreciated the stocked house of toilet paper, paper plates, plastic utensils, etc. Everything we needed was there. Even including fans and pack n plays. Only thing we wished was that the door and window downstairs had a curtain or blind. It was slightly more difficult to put babies down for naps but it was doable. House was extremely clean! Thank you for the great stay!

We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay for our weekend at the sand dunes! The cabin is lovely, clean, and centrally located. The owners even provided firewood for our camp fire at night! It’s 5-stars for sure!

Pros: Plenty of places to sleep, clean, well stocked, great location
Cons: no wifi or tv (both were not listed on description so my fault not noticing), linens in primary bedroom were stained, biggest issue was when we took a shower the whole cabin would smell like rotten eggs (sulfar) and didn’t feel like we got clean with the water because of the smell. My kids had skin reactions to it. Owners indicated it was from well water but from what I read can be corrected. This is the main reason we wouldn’t return.

This property is very nice and has a lot of sleeping space. Having to bring our own sheets was a bit of a hassle, but at least I knew my sheets were nice and clean during a pandemic. The kids enjoyed the hammock and the porch swings. It was nice to be so close to Silver Lake State park. We brought our boat and used the boat launch there every day.By the way, if your kids are accident prone like mine, the nearest ER is only 16 minutes away and the personnel there are quite experienced in cleaning and stitching up sandy wounds, so that's a plus.
