Great stay for an evening out in Stroud

Lovely hotel great room upstairs of a lovely pub. Booked breakfast in the morning which was made with really good quality ingredients. They had only just started offering breakfast and they definitely did a great job.

Great apartment just a few minutes from Stroud.

The Apartment is perfect for a weekend away. It has the best of both worlds with a lovely kitchen area for cooking, or the restaurant and bar downstairs when you don't feel like it. Comfy beds. Perfect!

Great place to stay near Stroud.

Exceptional value for a very comfortable apartment. It was roomy with separate kitchen/lounge, bedroom and bathroom.

There was some slight road noise - but not too bad. The A46 is a very busy road.

Disappointed, I feel the place is a little tied and needs to have a few things fixed.

Staff friendly and welcoming.

Few bits not working, TV, WiFi very poor, cold as heating not working. I was dissaapointed to see in some of the reviews that people had the same issues I have mentioned, several months ago and they have still not been fixed.

Well appointed apartment with amazing staff /restaurant- hopefu

The staff were lovely and welcoming - the apartment was aesthetically pleasing and had everything we needed - the manager was very helpful and the pub / restaurant was great .. we had an enjoyable stay just needed a few tweaks to make it perfect - Stroud is great too and lots to do and see nearby

We had a few issues 🥴🥴 the toilet didn’t flush properly and kept refilling and emptying 🥴- we couldn’t get the coffee machine to work and when we eventually did it leaked everywhere!! The rooms were chilly and it was cold when we were there- we found cosy blankets which helped when sitting in the lounge - the tv reception was intermittent- the manager did come and get the internet connected for us but it kept turning off 🙈🙈 and the bathroom could have been cleaner 🥴🥴

Good value

Lovely old Cotswold stone hotel. The apartment had cool quirky decor, original combined with 70s style decoration. Handy having the bar and restaurant just downstairs, we stayed during the week and it was pretty quiet. The main bed was very comfortable.

The sofa bed wasn't very comfortable. There was quite a bit of traffic noise in the morning and evening, although it did quiet down later at night

The staff were wonderful, very helpful and friendly. The apartment was very comfortable. We are dinner at the hotel and the food was amazing, very good menu for Ceoliacs’ and once again the staff were lovely and very accommodating.

Good stay for one night. Property needs some TLC.

Welcoming staff, spacious apartment, good layout. Comfy beds. Vaulted ceiling was nice.

WiFi didn’t work which also meant that the tv didn’t work. The shower drains slowly and shower tray is flooding. Very small shower even though there is space for a larger one. Bathroom radiator dusty. The bathroom door does not close properly.

Quaint and very English location, enjoyed our stay.

Staying in accommodation above an old English Pub was fabulous. The facilities were clean and tidy and very spacious.

Pleasant pub with aspirations to be a hotel. Useful locality but Stroud itself past its best

Charming old world pub, partly completed. The apartment had every mod con and was spacious and quirkily decorated. Modern furniture and TV looked good

The apartment open stairs were unsafe without a handrail. The bathroom lighting was controlled by opening the door- which didn’t shut, confusing. There were no instructions or welcome pack. No breakfast available but the kitchen was well equipped

Convenient place to stay and great hosts

Hosts were extremely helpful and went out of their way to assist with our requests eg - allowed us to use washing machine, fixed TV that wasn't working and printed baggage tags for us and wouldn't accept payment

Stayed in the studio apartment for one night. Small but clean and had everything we needed. Good value for what we paid. Good addition was the private garden to exercise our little dog

You pay for what you get...

The food in the restaurant is outstanding and the apartments are gorgeous.

Wouldn't normally write a negative review, but our stay was considerably uncomfortable. We visited in April, and it wasn't relatively warm but the room was absolutely sweltering. We did get a fan from staff who told us that you need to keep the blinds fully closed all day as the sun beats through the windows, but spending all your time in an apartment with the blinds closed was quite depressing. The blinds had to stay down anyway as it turned out as they were broken and wouldnt go up. The sofa bed was also some sort of torture device - rock solid! The windows are also single glazed, and as the pub is by a busy main road, it can be very noisy. Only one of the windows opened too! The other one was super glued closed. Such a pity because the staff and everything else was really nice.

Filthy rooms, there were spiderwebs on the ceiling and dust everywhere. Really needs to be cleaned better. The building is really old so even though we had the heating on max, it was really cold as we were there on a windy night.

I stayed here for the location to work and the price. You get what you pay for. The rooms are lopsided and you feel drunk walking in them. The noise from the main road is loud and constant. There is no breakfast available. There are construction works opposite which increase noise.

Had a great two days stay with two children and a dog,we wanted a home from home and we got it.

The space in the loft room was amazing. The ability to charge our electric car. Plenty of room and a private garden for our Dog.

The only negative our bed in the master bedroom was way to soft for us. There was some road noise but didn't bother us really.

The pub was very nice and the food was good. Dog friendly. The room/apartment was excellent.

Would have been nice to have some milk in the room as breakfast is not available. Lots of building work outside currently.
